Count me in--I like Go West--it's soothing. And, the opening does sound a little like the Russian anthem. |

The song you have the link for is the National Anthem for the Soviet Union (USSR, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics). This was the anthem for the entire Soviet Union of which Russia was one part. Since the fall of the Soviet Union and the freeing of its satellite nations, Russia has adopted a completely new national anthem.
As for "Go West", I was in college when this first came out and I also used to go disco dancing. So of course I like it, but this version is a bit slow. |

Regardless, the Russian Anthem is nowhere on Extreme. Especially not in a "slowed-down" version; seeing as the Russian Anthem is already pretty slow. |
