Okay, the amount of repeated threads in Chit Chat and Gameplay is getting rediculous. I sometimes see four different threads on the same topic in one week. I don't really have any suggestions for fixing it, but we have got to think of something, because this is getting annoying. _________________

Haha, one thread that says "you guys should leave repeated topics open" and now one that says they should be dealt with.
The circle of life is complete.
And it moves us aaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllll... _________________

Mabey on the "make a new thread page" put a button under the box for "title" that would let people search for threads based on the title they put in? _________________

Wow... three mods are being drawn into the Lion King... That's a new record!
What if you added a new forum, one that had all the most commonly asked questions and most important stickies? Or would that use too much bandwith? (and yet there's 1337 regional forums...) _________________

We were thinking of that idea, but decided that an entire forum might contribute to the general clutter of the Forum Index. _________________

what if you sandwich it between headlines and site feedback? then again you could always have the same problem in which no one reads it anyways, like the FAQ.
funny idea, all beginner members have the [RTFAQ] attached to their name until they become basic. _________________

I think that stressing the importance of using the search function would be your best bet. Maybe make it more accessable. Or you could have one of those irritating pop-ups everytime a beginner or basic member clicks on the New Topic button that says 'Did you search?'. That'll get rid of 'em real fast. |
