I played DDR today in an after school club. 2 PS2's were set up with MAX2 and Extreme. I played mostly standard, but that's because I accidentally put myself on standard a few times. I played LoM standard, and someone left 2x on. When I saw the 2x I restarted b/c that would be impossible. Two people tried LoM Heavy but failed. Someone AA'd a bunch of heavy songs. I got 20 greats on burning heat standard.
The second hard song I played was Tsugaru apple mix, which I B'd.
Has anyone else played DDR at school? |

Not exactly at school.
Yesterday I talked a teacher into letting my bring DDR to the school coffee house after school in the grounds that it's *sorta* like irish step dancing. It worked. I had to get my xbox, 2 pads, tv, and games there in less than an hour tho. It was hard to pull off but we did it. I played a ton there. Too much to list. One kid got some new records on some 10 footers. _________________

Dammit.
I always used to bring my PS2 and DDR and RedOctane Ignition 2.0 to school.
But now my PS2 is dead, so I put StepMania on some computers.
The problem is, these computers suck buttocks.
The ones with Sound Cards have no floppy drive and vice versa.
So no SM with Pad ;.;
But we're gonna rent a DDR machine sometime soon or maybe even buy one and use it for gym class!
HELL YEAH! _________________

Most of my peers at school are still in the "DDR is gay and anyone who plays it is" stage (I hate them so much!), so If I tried that, I would have no friends till they figure it out... |

Yeah, the girls basketball team always had a setup in the cafeteria (which was more like a huge open space that people were free to walk through anytime). Since they didn't start practice until 5, they'd always play.
Anime Club would have a DDR day once in a while, and it was back around two years ago when home DDR started to really catch on (there were no arcades within a half an hour of us at that time). They used to make the room stink liek whut.
At my school now, they gave us money to buy a pair of Cobalt Fluxes and two laptops for the sole purpose of playing Stepmania. When tuition is $40 grand a year, you'd expect them to be a little generous with club funding, and indeed they were. |

I brought in my PS2 and DDR Extreme (US) w/ a soft pad on the last day of the semester last year and I became about 1.5-2x more popular with both peers and teachers ^^.
I even convinced my Physics teacher to make my post-Advanced Placement Exam extra credit project my home built DDR board because it resembles a simple circuit with the player acting as a switch completing the circuit with each step .
I really should have started a rhythm action video game club, but its too late now -_-.

My friend and I convinced a teacher to sponsor our DDR club. The first meeting is next week, and we hope to carry it over to our HS next year. A lot of people seem interested, so we're praying that all goes well^^ _________________

Hopefully this week I get to bring DDR to gym class.
I only know of two other people in my gym class that play, both of which are my good friends. We're having a game day (Physical games, like ping pong, basketball and such.) And I get to watch over my "Station" (because we all know how much a ps2, pad, and games cost), so I get to play and teach people all class. _________________
