RedOctane is now taking orders for In The Groove for PS2. This is scheduled for release in Summer 2005, and includes the following pre-order bonuses: ITG Soundtrack, ITG t-shirt, RedOctane temporary tattoo, RedOctane keychain, and free shipping. You can either preorder the ITG bundle, which includes an Ignition Pad, or just the game by itself. _________________

Holy Cow! Those bonuses make this offer too good to be true!
Question: Does the free shipping mean the super Saver shipping, or any kind, or what? _________________

Super Saver Shipping = Free.
Yeah, I love the bonuses. I just wish they could allow PayPal. _________________

It's worth noting that only the Ignition bundle comes with the soundtrack and t-shirt. _________________

This is exactly why I won't be buying this. If the merchandise came with the game only, I'd get it. I don't need another pad and that's too much extra to pay. _________________

I'm getting the bundle as it comes with a buttload of extra stuff, plus the RO Ignition is a good pad. _________________

You can buy just the game with none of the other stuff as well. As a pre-order bonus you get that extra stuff for free
The home version DOES has over 70 songs.

Yeah, I have to call foul. I already own two Ignition pads (both purchased directly from RedOctane even), with no need for a third. I want the soundtrack, but NOT if I have to pay up for another pad just to get it. (I'm much more interested in the soundtrack than the game itself, frankly.)
This is just... disappointing. Are those who have already supported RedOctane in the past screwed out of having to pay up even more for something they already purchased if they want all the extras?
And besides that, what's with the inconsistencies in the product descriptions? The game alone states "Over 70 high-energy songs spanning multiple genres of music", while the "In The Groove (PS2) Song List" linked on the bundle pack only has 41 songs in it. Is the latter a soundtrack tracklist? If so, it should actually be marked as such. _________________

I have a CF that's just about dead. Then again, Ignition pads don't last for me, so I'm going to probably think this one over.

If anything, that'd be, I dunno, the first CD of a 2-CD soundtrack? I have no idea what they're talking about. _________________

That is the soundtrack listing, not the game itself. The game will indeed have all the songs from the arcade, plus 4 more or so we've heard. _________________

Hi guys, I e-mailed RedOctane concerning the free shipping issues, and here's the official word I received:
RedOctane wrote: | Yeah, I will have that problem fixed and everyone will get free shipping. I'm going to also check out the possibility of upgrading both preorder packages to ground shipping (for free) as well. With whatever positive changes we make to the preorder packages, all older preorders will automatically receive the upgrades. |

Another note: those who order the game by itself will now also receive the ITG t-shirt and ground shipping. When ordering, you must still select Super Saver Shipping, but when shipping time comes it will be shipped ground. _________________

If they throw in the CD with the game only option, I'll bite.
Ah hell, I'll bite anyway. But I'd like the music CD. _________________
