DDR - Nerdy?

i dont know... its just something about the people that play it, make them nerdy.

if someone was telling me, "oh i have a friend that plays ddr too," i'll automatically think their some ugly nerd.

for some reason, without seeing almost everyone on this forum, i think your all ugly nerds. i'm pretty sure that there are many hot studs, and sexy females here, but until i see you, your all ugly nerds to me.

I guess it comes down to the fact that the majority of people in life will not get sweaty dancing on a machine to premade steps to j-pop songs in public. If the majority of people do it, it's cool. If a few people do it, it's nerdy.

Sure, some people will come along and say "thats cool", but for every one of those people, theres 2 that say "WTF? Gay". And with anything, obsession with it = nerdness. Knowing every rating, BPM,Artist, and steps to every song is a tad obsessive.

So yes, DDR is nerdy and thats part of the reason why I quit playing.

I dont think DDR is nerdy. Sure nerdy people play it but theres nerdy people who do everything. I think its kind of nerdy that you quit ddr because you thought its nerdy and yet you are still posting on ddr forums...

i think it depends on how you smell,
when i play, and a get a crowd, i step off after a song and people will be like 'wow' and 'neeto' and when people ask how i do it i just tell them i eat my vegetables, and then maybe ill wipe my face with my shirt showing off my chest. but i wear old spice and people can always get a wiff of it and think 'DDR->good smelling attractive kid with lots of skills'
but when i see some people play and reek up the place, people think 'DDR->smelly kids hopping around a machine'
so dont make it nerdy , make it cool by wearing old spice
