Hi, yeah it's me, GTDDR.
I recently found a website with all the ITG simfiles.
The problem is, is that on some of the songs on the harder difficulty levels you have 3 or more arrows that you have to step on one time.
Well my problem is that when I hit 3 or 4 arrows at the same time on my keyboard, it won't register, and I will get this beep sound. Does anybody know how to fix this problem?

I have the exact same problem, posted it in the sticky. You can release the hold, hit the arrow, then hold it again, but that kind of sucks. Yes, I would very much like to know how to solve this problem. _________________

There really isn't a solution to this. Most, if not all keyboards have a hardware limitation that only allows two or three non-modifier keys to register at a time. If you want to play songs with more than two arrows at a time, your only real choice is to use another input device (such as a dance pad) that can register 4 or more buttons at once. |

Actually, what I've heard is that if you have a PS/2 keyboard, you will have this problem of only hitting a few keys at once, but that if you get a USB keyboard, you can hit as many keys as you want. I ordered a new USB keyboard recently; hopefully this will fix the problem... _________________

ps/2 ports can hit a lot of keys at the same time. Upwards of ten keys can be held down simultaneously. It's the actual keyboard that causes the problem. _________________

Try turning off numlock (don't ask why, but it lets me press more arrow keys if I do that), and also if that doesn't work if you hit them all like really fast steps or hitting them all at the same time, but a little before you would normally hit them. Other than that you'll need a new keyboard if none of those work. _________________

if you play on ULDR, re-configure to 1235 on the 10-key pad. worked for me =/ _________________

And like someone said in a previous post, keyboards that have this problem can't register more than X non-modifier keys at a given time.
So if you actually play using some modifier keys as your arrows, that should work better i.e. make Left Shift your up arrow and Left Ctrl your down arrow for example. _________________

mapping to 1235 on the keypad has worked for me on every keyboard I've ever used with SM. |

I should do that, mapping on the number keys. _________________

sorry to break your dream pika, but I use a USB keyboard (for some unknown reason, my PS/2 ports are fine), and I can only do 3 keys simultaneously. Its a limitation in the keyboard's onboard controller. |

on the 10 key pad, my keyboard can register up to 6 keys. on the regular arrows or WASD, it can't register more than 2 at a time. =/ _________________

just try mapping it to different key combinations... is your keyboard usb or not?
(also, where did you get the simfiles? i've been searching for a while.) |

Your main option is to buy a new keyboar that lets you take of the limitation, turn "No Hands" on, or deal with what you have. _________________
