Hey guys. Long time, no post.
Does anyone know if the DWI project is still alive? Does SimWolf still update his software at all? I haven't been aware of anything for over a year. I did take a long break from DDR entirely (sims and all), so a lot has changed. DDRUK is at least temporarily comatose.. Help me out here.

Well, the home of DWI development discussion used to be DDRManiaX.net. However, that site blew up a little while ago, so the forums which housed the official DWI discussions are pretty much gone.
Before the forums went down, SimWolf was asking for suggestions/requests for DWI3, which he was supposedly working on. I was pretty hopeful for a release relatively soon, but since the forums went under, I don't think anybody knows what's going on in terms of the project except SimWolf himself (and perhaps DJ Drafthorse, the DWI announcer and DWI3 spokesperson guy).
Personally, I certainly hope DWI3 hasn't been canned, as I prefer it over SM. But considering that the last update to the official DWI website was about 1.5 years ago, I'm not gonna hold my breath, I guess.
Just keep checking the DWI site for any news, or I suppose you can try e-mailing SimWolf if you want and see if you get a reply. _________________

If you go to ddrmaniax.net it says 'Restart in progress' which means the forums themseves are coming back which also could mean that a new DWI is being worked on. |
