Smells like a lawsuit. | Yep, I'm sure we'll see that lawsuit right after Roxor is done suing KCEH for licensing Tough Enough in Ultramix 2.
Edit (Cutriss) - Fixed your quoting so that you're not putting words in my mouth. |
Also, a little birdy told me that Tough Enough was licenced by KCEH before ITG was released. _________________

Why are we talking about what premiered where when you just need to pay to use it? |

Licensed songs = usable by anyone with the money. The stepcharts are the only thing that Konami owns, so that's the only way Roxor could get sued... by copying the stepcharts. _________________

Yeah, I know the point is moot, but I figured I would offer the correction. _________________

Why are there four buttons on each side of the cabinet? (The left/right and then the two square ones?) |

(again, read my review, it explains it fully) =P
The cabinet is only in it's conceptual stages, but they hope to use
Top bottom for start (which will be a different color in the final release)
Bottom to function as the "LEFT+RIGHT+START" (for songwheel order changing and go back up in the options menu)
and the standard left and right. _________________

The two red Up/Down rectangles are for going UP in the Options menu after you've chosen your song but before you play it.
Damn you, baka Baka! |

Most people like ITG once they taken time to try it out. I don't know any serious players around my area who have a strong hatred for the game itself. ITG has it's flaws, but none of them are going to turn people away from the game.
AceJay, why would you hate the game without playing it? |

They play songs rated 7 or 8 with a similar taste in steps to me, and... like me, they don't like many of the steps rated 7 or 8.
However, even they're drooling over the new steps in ItG2.
So, basically... everyone I know who's played ItG likes it. The only people I know who hate it are people who've never played it and hate it because "omgz its a ddr ripoff guyz" _________________

LoL, yep, that's me.
But also, besides that, I just fucking HATE the arrow skins and the menu. I REALLY hate them. BADLY.
And RoXoR is a HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE name for a company.
That's all.
It's like the XBox LoL...
It has all these pwnsome extra features, but it's ugly as hell. _________________

You will learn to love the menu. Despite its lack of visual flair, it is WAY more functional than even DDR's menu.
I don't really like the arrow skins either, but once you play a few songs you won't even think about them any more. They're unobtrusive and that's a good thing. The steps themselves are the stars of the show.
Andamiro's making the cabinet, hmmm? I hope the cabinet retains the feel of a DDR machine. I HATE HATE HATE the way the PIU pads feel. They don't give as much--it feels like they don't move at all--and the material on the surface is less comfortable. Please, somebody tell me that the feel is the same, or close...

It has all these pwnsome extra features, but it's ugly as hell. | Arrow skins: They look dumb, but they're informative. The only arrow skin that looks good to me is original DDR vivid, really... but I like the color differentiation in ItG. It's far better than DDR's solo. So, the arrows aren't as pretty to look at, but they're much more functional, which is quite a nice plus. They look awful in screenshots, but once you play a few heavy songs with them, they're very functional.
Menu... oh yeah, I hate the menu. Or at least the songwheel. BORING. Get some color, some LIFE in that thing. Give it some STYLE, not just "liek, it's a wheel with some songz omg." I do like all the information it has, but I wish they presented it in a visually appealing way.
So yes, the star of the show is the music and the steps! The screenshots look bad, but that's because the focus is on the GAME. You can't judge by screenshots. Give it a try when you can, you'll probably like it. Also, I'd recommend waiting for ItG2 if possible. ItG is pretty good, but ItG2 is looking a lot better in the steps department... at least to me. _________________

After playing on this cabinet, I realized how much the DDR cabinets SUCK. The sound is WORLDS better, and the screen is much nicer. But I didn't think they felt any different from a DDR pad, so don't worry about that.
And I really don't understand some of you people, if you hate ITG so much, then why the hell are you even posting? Stick with your DDR and leave the people who actually enjoy the game alone. _________________

I really don't think the anti-ITG sentiment is *nearly* as strong as the ITG anti-DDR sentiment. _________________
