im frank im 16 i started playing ddr in november i do heavy i play for at least 2 hours a day yeah im upsessed i have ddrmax,max2 and extreme for ps2 and ultramix 1 and 2 for xbox so yah u can say im upsessed.hardest song i can do at the moment is Max 300 i can C it but only on a home ignition pad XD i have yet to pass in the arcade give me a week or two and ill be able to do it

Hiya, I'm Brit. My friend Alis got me hooked on DDR about 3 years ago, though i haven't acually really started playing till a couple weeks ago. I finally convince my mom to buy it for me. I've played in arcades a couple times but i still suck a little bit too much to play there as often as my friends do . I fear i'd embarress(sp) the hell outa myself.

My Re-Intro

It's been a while since I've introduced myself at DDRFreak (which was over a year ago), so I've decided to do it again for entertainment.

Depending which world you find me in, my name is either Ace or David. I've played the didder (pet term for DDR) for a year and 4 months. I play 9s and 10s, even though I hate most of the 10-footers with a passion (and Maxx Unlimited hates me right back, btw).

I play mostly for fun and occassionally Perfect Attack. My favorite song is Waka Laka, my theme song is The Centre Of The Heart (Stonebridge Clubmix) (guess why), and the only song on an Extreme machine I don't like is Telephone Operator (Club Mix) (although I have no complaints about its steps, the song itself has gotta go).

Advice For Newbies

I love you all, and as long as you don't do anything really stupid, we'll get along (the people who know me here know it's next to impossible to make me really mad).

No, I am not a mod, and I don't think I wanna be; that's too much responsibility. I will correct people on ocassion though, as it is my perrogative as a logical person to do so. lol

Make sure you read the FAQ (it can't hurt to sit and read for 5 minutes and it'll tell you close to everything you need to know about the boards). [commercial]4 out of 5 mods believe that 85% of the locked threads in DDRFreak are posted by newbies who don't read the FAQ.[/commercial] Seriously, the FAQ is your friend, and it's more informative (and fun to read, as some humor was thrown in) than you might think.

Do not be afraid to PM the mods or ask questions; that's what they're here for. PM me if you want.

Before deciding to make an entirely new thread, please check quick to make sure it hasn't been posted on at least the first page of the forum (the last 2 or 3 pages if there've been a lot of new threads there lately) before posting it. Also assure you're posting in the right forum (ie, don't ask how to do the steps to Afronova in the Chit-Chat forum; that's a Gameplay issue and should be posted there).

Lots of things have been covered exensively on this board already; check the hints & guides section to get info on most of them, and look in my sig to see what the rest are.

Even though some newbies will ignore this entire post and most won't even see it, I've done my part to try to help the newbs out. lol

I guess this post is a bit long, so I'll end it here.

So I guess I should welcome myself. lol

I'm ddr_addict and I'm an asian that came to australia to study. My DDR skills are so crap. Can only A Rhythm and police heavy, so deep 1X heavy sometimes and all 8 footers. Got close to passing "naoki feat paula terry" somehow yesterday and failed because of "destiny". My doubles are super terrible when compare to single. Can hardly go pass light mode except for sometimes passing so deep standard doubles.

I come from France, exactly from Orléans and I often play at DDR with my team (Kata na Oki Team). I play it for 1 year and I can get all 8 feets, most of 9 feets and Sakura. I just begin a way of DDR that in French we call Style, it isn't very great but I think it's very funny. (I'm sorry if my English is so bad...)

Heya all!

My name is Nikki, and i'm a freakin' DDR fr3Ak, lol.

I started to play DDR around December or so, and i'm on standard and some heavy.I can do double pads on light. I play every Friday after school with a group of friends.

My weakness in DDR is when all the arrows are jammed into like a ten step thing, craziih! My strong point is real fast songs, like Max 300. I did it on standard and got a C on it, which is not good nor bad.

I'm also starting a DDR team down here in Miami. I'm trying to get the uniform ready for our team, and on Sunday theres going to be a small "search" for DDR players for the team at Boomers.

My favortie songs have to be all of the Paranoia, Afronova, and Orion songs. I like many others but I love these, lol.

Anyways, I also love anime and spend time either making comics or collecting mangas.

Hello! Name's Matt, 23, been playing since december,. Right now doing 7 and 8 footers. My best accompishment to date is being able to pass Break Down (albeit with a D ) but I'm working on doing better. Still have yet to get to the arcade (I'm poor, in college and only work the weekends), but plan on doing it as soon as I get better.
