ive seen kids stomp harder on the arrows (they call it PA) than matrix walkers do...

nevertheless, that whole 'put my foot through the monitor' thing just seems to get to most arcade managers.

whodathunkit?

Worms, backflips, and breakdance moves look tight in DDR. but Cartwheels look so cool on a DDR machine. It's just plain simple.

matrix walks are a not something you should do. I loved A-teams Matrix walk , 1 guy went on the arm of the DDR machine and the other matrix sweeped and he jumped over it. If you have to matrix walk then make it creative. Maybe only use them in team routines. I'm looking for some videos email me at [email protected]

Hahah...the crowds are definitely what hook you into taking this crazy hobby further. Congrats on your first. =)

I'm more of an improv freestyler. I'm not the one to memorize the arrows of a song and a routine. The only song I can remember the best is Long Train Runnin'.

I was always thinking of doing something quirky on the machine like cartwheels er something. I've quit doing doubles a while back because I've learned the hard way that they're a pain on heavy (which I was trying to accomplish Doubles on Heavy courses). But now I"m considering just using doubles for freestyling, and doing cartwheels and things seems to be a Doubles-only gig, unless you're on Single and alone on the machine, but then there might be people standing right next to the machine! ...KONK!! laugh.gif

Rip off tournaments are so cool. It's too bad had to miss the Kevin Kim rip off E2.gif E2.gif Choose a routine you can relate to and it's your style. Like you'll never see Hypnotikz rip off a Lil B routine. Some routines moves are everything. Trying Dj8-ball's cafe without knowing how to breakdance, no-no. Wear what they wore during the routine. Pin point the powerful movements. I love people who rip off chain-ripoffs. Funny seeing someone ripping off Cheath ripping off Captain Canadas rip off of Hypnotikz long train runnin E1.gif Too bad Hyperbroken and his friends didn't pass Face. Shame...

Good job. I hope it was good. most of my arcades don't appreciate freestyling no matter how good unless it's on heavy. Don't come back freestyling on the same routine more than twice, creativity attracts crowds. Give something at the end to make them know the song is over, I hate people who clap at the wrong time of my era routine!! frust.gif

What the...

- What ripoff tournaments are these? Only ones I know of are the FSRP and upcoming FSRP 2 (which I'll miss cause of school - BUH).
- Who's Cheath and when did he rip me off?
- Why is there no video? E15.gif

You guys remember Fuzzy Hats Era? I didn't really like the routinethat much ,but the crowd went nuts for the ending forgetting everything they just saw. It matched what was playing and was simple, it looked soo cool. They loved it so much they jacked his hat. Lill B's never gonna make it entrance was incredible. My eyes were locked onto him. Go ahead ask for the videos I'd be happy to send it. Can someone tell me what PCB stands for? I'm pretty sure B is little B. I'm guessing the guy in the middle is Clark Kent because he was in the tournament and won it. Ok who's the P?

yeah I forgot that's a problem. What'll we call Lil B now? I'm starting a Michael Jackson routine and need suggestions for 80's R&B type songs. Not Make Your Move(don't wanna look like I'm jacking from Clark Kent). I was thinking Don't Stop or maybe groove

Retired. E15.gif

banana: Go for Sakura just so you can say you passed a "10", hahah. But for the legit 10s, go for bag on 1.5x or Paranoia Survivor (it's only bad at the end, watch someone else play it a few times first).

kai: hahah, yes, it's great how his crotch grab evolved over time. biggrin.gif

BoA: Secret Rendezvous would probably be your best bet, but A Jay's already done what was basically a Michael-inspired performance to that song at SVGL2...I'd say Let's Groove is your best bet. Might want to also consider that "overhead clap, slide + headbobble, stomp, look over shoulder" from Thriller (not the monster walk, though, it's already become kinda cliche on the didder pad).
