DDRs hayday is over. With ITG and the up and coming Neon FM (not the crappy new bemani game, it's a game that'ssupposed to revolutionize dance pads) Dancing games have come into their own. Just like side scrollers for the NES, SNES, Genisis...
Just like fighting games...
Just like hack 'n Slash...
Just like RPGs...
IT's not just DDR any more. Soon Rhythem games will be a powerhouse of a genre and bemani will ever be remembered as the pioneer, but other companies will come into their own now.

i played ITG one day because the DDR Extreme machine was being used...wow. after i figured out how to turn off hallway mode i loved it. ITG makes me work so much harder than DDR, and it's amazing. i can't wait to buy it for home and play it on my SOFT PAD haha.

also, where can I find some videos of people playing ITG? i looked on the website, but that page isnt working too well...thanks
EDIT: and i can't use the ones posted on that message board...the "video vault" because they're in .avi format...i need .mpg! thanks |

By "American-style songs" they mean the same sort of techno and dance music they have in DDR, just made by different people. Less lyrics in Japanese, and less happy house, basically. There's not a single country song on ItG, and I don't know what you even MEAN by "krunk jams." Listen to some of the songlist before you complain about it.
For one, I'd recommend trying to find Matiloe's "We Know What To Do" which was licensed for ItG2. That song is awesome.

Erm, no. Andamiro and RoXoR are two different companies with different groups of people. I heard however that Andamiro is teaming up with RoXoR to create their cabinents.

It's true. Andamiro is manufacturing the cabinets for ITG, and I don't KCET cares what goes on outside Japan, since the two games aren't competing. Even if they were marketing machines in Japan (which is very unlikely), I'm not sure if they'd take action, since DDR is defunct and the fanbase there is pretty non-existant and the series itself is defunct at the moment. I don't know much about the Andamiro v. Konami suit, but Andamiro is indeed a business parter of Roxor. |

Just thought that for clarification's sake it's worth reaffirming this.
Roxor and Andamiro are definitely separate entities. Andamiro will be manufacturing and selling the Dedicated Cabinet version of In The Groove 2. It will, of course, be available through the usual channels along with the Upgrade Kit (read: Boxor) version, but this additional distribution path really opens the doors on sales both domestically and internationally. |
