Like many others, I've lost interest in playing DDR at home, but I want it back. I gained so much weight after stopping and my boyfriend just got a me a metal pad, and I don't want it to just collect dust.

Has anyone here, lost their interest, but gotten it back? Tell me how, I need help.

I'm pathetic aren't I... hah

Mod your PS2 and get the Japanese import versions. Or get an XBox and ultramix 1 and 2.

Invest in new DDR console games (like imports) and/or download new simfiles. Most importantly, don't force yourself; you'll end up hating it if you do. Play whenever you want to, and eventually you'll find yourself enjoying it more like you used to.

I got out of it too, but I got back in. I got back in because I was bored and I decided to search DDR and there was this massive site so I as like wow. Then I saw how many people and movies and I was like, o, i am not that really skilled, dang. Then I started playing agahin. Rember play cus you want too, not becuase you force yourself too.

Or, ya could, you know, start playing again. Try freestyling, that kept my interest a bit, but I haven't played DDR since like August E10.gif

I stopped completely for 5 months. I would only play DDR EX at the arcade every 2 weeks. I sorta felt bad because my parents and myself helped purchase my metal pad, and now I am starting to play more and get more use of my pad.

Problem:been playing the same damn songs over and over and over.

Solution:wait it out a little while(like a month) and then get some new songs.

Oh, it's possible. I've lost interest in the game entirely for the 2nd time. After the summer I lost complete interest in the game and stopped for a month or two. Then, I just got back into it. Just take a well deserved break. Also, perhaps buying new mixes will help you out a bit. Maybe get into PAing, FSing, or stealthing to help keep you interested. Give yourself a challenge and see if you can complete it. Hope that helps happy.gif

Yes, bassically just challenge yourself.Find a song you can't do(something popular and hard too), then find someone really good. They will eventually play it and A, AA, AAA (or do good on it, you get my point), most likely you will be upset and think "i can't stop now i must do better!". I never lost intrest but something like this happend to me. I went to the arcade past The Legend of Max on standard for the secon time, then some kid got up ( a bit older then me), went and did it on dark and got an A.I was pissed and i am still working on even getting a B on it.Hope that helps, another thing that helps me stay in the game, is looking at what other people do and wanting to be that good.Have fun.

I haven't played since December, save for one round at the arcade. By next month, I'll probably be playing again. It's just a cycle for me. If you're bored sometime, just play a few times, and you'll probably play again the next day. It works for me.
