I got some broken in low-top leather boots from the Goodwill for 6 bucks, and they are the best DDR shoes I ever had, even better than my Nike Air Max's (which cost me $95 btw). My mom made me spray them with Lysol to kill the mold and bacteria inside, but it was worth it!

I use generic running shoes, but Thorlo socks - theyre made for blister prevention and work like a charm.

i just wear any shoes, and smear vaseline on the bottom to make them sticky. problem solved.

I use cheap butt on clearence nike shoes lol there really tight to i need to get a bigger size for the ddr tournement in a couple of weeks!

vans sure are getting the business on this forum. Word to the wise, dont wear vans out in the rain... I had a blue pair of them and was walking in the rain out to a shopping center. when i went home that day i took off my vans and my socks and feet were stained blue

. It was really weird and the blue didnt completely come off for weeks!

let's see- at home I wear slippers/socks so I don't ruin my new *1 inch foam dancemat* - but at the arcade I have to wear my Sketchers cuz if you don't wear shoes, they mean people at the arcade kick you out. lol
