The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Indiana and DDR Freak are helping to make a child's dream come true. Robbie is a 14 year old boy who has a very rare, life threatening, kidney disease. Fairly soon, he is going on dialysis every day. He is going to be able to do the dialysis from home, so his wish is for a game room in his home, featuring DDR.
I would like to provide a PS2, DDR Extreme, and two high quality pads. Please help us out by donating towards this cause. All proceeds will go towards the game room equipment and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Please send your donations via PayPal to [email protected], for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. I will be taking donations until the end of February. Thanks for your help! _________________

This is perfect because we just did a fundraiser for Make-A-Wish at school. I hope we really help make this happen! _________________

Please do not donate DDR Extreme US, that game is just terrible and will make the poor kids life worse. Get MAX2 or MAX, or a japanese version. _________________

Well, if we get enough money, we could certainly get all the versions. Japanese versions, on the other hand, are too cost prohibitive. _________________

I had that kind of thing happen to me when I was 16....rare disease and eventually got a kidney transplant
being on dialysis for 6 months was the absolute worst time in my life, it was so bad i couldn't even manage a smile
let's give this kid all the support he needs...we can do it as a ddr community! _________________

I'd like to know as well. I am willing to donate Extreme US, used for about 30 days total, and I can provide a memory card with all the unlocks.

I would prefer that the items be brand new--we're working with vendors on that. A memory card with all the unlocks sounds fun though. I'll contact you later about that. _________________

I'll probably put the unlocks of every DDR version I have on the same card, so that'll save time for everyone in that family who plays.

What if we try to raise the money for an arcade peripheral of DDR Extreme Japan? _________________

Thanks to all of you for your generosity. As I am the mother of this ill child, my son Robbie. You all must be god's angels. He has membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis type II or shorten version (MPGN type 2). Wish making takes a lot of work from others and a long time. He has 3 brothers and a sister that one-day hopefully could give him one working kidney. However, new kidneys are often re-infected once again. My point is: Enjoy what you ! have today! Remember to treat each day as if it could be the last. Don't sweat the small stuff. Don't let a day go by without a hug or smile, and laughter is the best medicine I don't know want to say but thank you and may god bless you and yours. All I can say is WOW.
