In previous versions, if you highlighted portal and it looked for a song in a closed folder, it would crash. This could be avoided, but fixed since not everyone knows what does what in SM. Believe me.

seein rc2 when you do it while all groups are closed, its completely random, instead of group selective, which is cool.

Ok so another question for you theme makers out there. I'm trying to change the judgement images during play (the ones that say Marvelous, Perfect, etc.)

I tried replacing the default Graphics/Judgment 1x6.png with my own file (of the same name), yet it doesn't work (the original graphics are still shown while playing). I couldn't find any other image file for the judgement words so I don't really know what else I could change. Anyone got a clue?

Note: I also changed the Graphics/ScreenEvaluation judge labels 1x8.png file which affects the evaluation screen shown after play, and THAT works. I just can't seem to do the same for the play screen

I hope you're not editing the default theme, for one. You mess something up in there, and chances are you'll mess up something with all themes. They all rely on some parts of the default theme.

And you're sure you saved it in the right format? I know a lot of people seem to think jpgs and bmps are the same as pngs. Believe me, they're not.

Try actually modifying the actual graphic instead of replacing it. That is the correct file you should use "Graphics/Judgment 1x6.png"

Did you also try pressing F2 to reload the metrics/images in the program? If you change a graphic in-game, the program won't automatically load the new file. F2 or restart the program.

Don't worry, I'm not actually replacing the files in the default folder. When I say replacing, I mean having a file of the exact same name in my theme folder. This has worked for every other image I've changed so far but for some reason, the judgement one won't work... still haven't figured out what I'm doing wrong...

Oh and yeah they are png files, I'm not that dumb

Ok, double check your naming, try F2 and closing and restarting stepmania, i had some problems getting SM to take some graphics for KatzeUltramix, restarting it fixed that.

You may also want to try starting the graphic over.

mine is called KatzeUltramix, you didnt have to rename yours.

Remember this is my opinion, and still, my theme is far from complete, and most of this poopy isnt even in my theme yet, so dont give me poopy. Im admiting this off the bat.

SelectStyle:
Very nice cleanup, but still your Offcommands are Incorrect.

SelectDifficulty:
Offcommands incorrect.

SelectMusic:
Very nice, still a little fuzzy in places.

Gameplay:
I like alot of things here. the problem is i dont like alot of things as well. Mainly in your placements.

Evaluation:
Ok. Not to be mean, but dude your grades totaly suck, use the fallback features and put StepmaniaMax grades in there untill you get good ones. (probably from me, since mine will HOPEFULLY animate.)

Options:
How did you do that? Thats neat. with the Options staying on their thing. Its probably a feature i overlooked.

Oh, so there are 2 Ultramix themes going on right now? It reminds me when there were 2 Extreme themes going on... I wonder who will be the successor.

correction, 3 Extreme themes. Yet for some reason theres a topic on bemanistyle that gave me general praise. so its not too big headed to assume that "i came out on top" of that dogpile.

Yet i am not confident about ultramix.

I think the theme will be sucessful (especialy with xbox users as im porting it to that... My theme is extremely popular on the xbox, its the only one) but somehow i think that we will end up with my first release being the DDREXComplete of the DDRExtreme dogpile, as KatzeUltramix currently sucks, but is getting better. After im done with it ill probably do the KatzeExtreme-Thing-To-Do that adds all the extra stuff, however, i think ill skip on couples play for this one, as I dont play it often enough to give me a reason to put it in all my themes, plus it would just be a jackass pain to do. Maybe I Will, Maybe I wont, but you can expect all modifers, and eventually, hard modes. But the first release will be pretty back to basics DDR Ultramix. since i want to put it on my xbox and trick people because im an evil piece of sh*t

Alright... 5th mix theme please for the love of god! I have never EVER come across a good 5th mix Stepmania theme EVER
(I've searched for a year for it) I don't understand... It's like the best layout for any DDR, period. 5th mix menu music was the best, and I loved it sooo much..
I Need a 5th mix stepmania theme and I need one now (same with a billion other people .___.) -_- I have a DWI 5th mix theme but that's ghey it's half assed and it's crap...no amazing 5th theme...

Screw making all these other 'techno-shmoe, katza-watze, 5 thousand versions of EXTREME' themes...Please for the love of god MAKE A good 5th MIX!

As i wanted a Extreme theme that had options, had i not released KatzeExtreme, i wouldnt have gotten one, period. Tamago started to remove his options, Dark Templar... Well we all know that story, and Takuya probably wouldnt have put options in his theme had my theme not been right in his face being popular without the only 2 things on page 2 of select difficulty being Nonstop and Oni.

Turns out that when i logged on to DDRmaniax.net for the first time, other people were doggy for the same thing too. Oh! i can upload an SMZIP, have fun guys.

We will *HELP* you make a 5th mix theme. but we will not *MAKE* you a 5th mix theme.

And just in case your wondering:
"You made your theme! you got what you wanted! why are you making ultramix?"
"Because its going to be really funny to run on my Xbox"
