1. Arrow euphoria, especially when you close your eyes or you're sleeping.

2. You start singing the songs and drumming to the beat

3. You're willing to drive for over an hour to get to the nearest DDR machine

4. You lose 10 pounds only because of DDR

5. On your free time, you're at DDRfreak or at Aaron's page

6. You have a few injuries under your belt (including bleeding feet, blisters, shin splits, falling in doubles, busted toes, etc)

7. You teach a friend and watch him progress from basic to heavy

When you're making change for people at the arcade that don't want to go to the quarter changer.

When you buy your OWN DDR machine.

Hey, my soft pad broke, and I don't have a new one...

Even better is when you put down tape arrows *or something that WON'T move* and play on top of that.

will edit more in, but for now...

hearing the words voltage, stream, air, freeze and chaos immediately make you think of ddr. Especially voltage.

Here's some taken from me E15.gif :

-When you spent around 2 hours per day checking DDR videos on youtube.

-When you are playing without a pad (stepping my feet)

-When you're dreaming that you play DDR at arcades

-When you've spent like 6 hours creating imaginative artists and songs for your own imaginative DDR (I got 3 games now laugh.gif )

-When you want to make CDs with DDR songs

-When you can't resist to start a talk about DDR when you see a reference (2 days ago, I heard *Kong Fu Fighting* on radio and I said *Hey bro, did you know that this song appeared in the first DDR game ever?* He didn't care at all.)

That's all for now. Look like I'm playing too much DDR.

When you talk nonstop about DDR and drive all your family members crazy, especially your extremely patient mother who will never tell you to shut up about DDR, even though she's sick of hearing about it E4.gif

You close your eyes and you see nothing except arrows going up.

This may seem lame, but you know you've played too much DDR when you see one of the colors associated with the DDR levels and you automatically think about DDR. Also, you hear words such as "Boost", "Good", and other ordinary words, and you also automatically think about DDR. E1.gif

According to E!!'s statement, I must annonce something to the DDRfreak community: we're playing too much DDR and we should be proud of it E15.gif .

Here's some "symptoms" that I noticed of myself:

  1. When you're DDRing while tired but out the corner of your eye you see an arrow that you didn't see scrolling up, your body completely reflexively lurches to try to "catch" that arrow no matter what.
  2. When your friend mentions they need to work out you reflexively recommend DDRing.
  3. When I hear a DDR song on the radio, I perk up.
  4. When I play Stepmania on the computer keyboard's arrow cluster when my body doesn't feel up to playing the full body DDR.

...when the arrows go up; then you realize that you had the scroll option set to normal.

...When you go to an arcade for the sole reason playing the DDR they have there.

...While you watch other people play DDR, you stand behind them and play the song on an invisible mat.

...when you become emotionally attached to the DDR machine that you play on every weekend. If you're not, then you're lying.

I am very guilty of this one. Then again, I also play Tekken 5 on occasion... riiight.gif

I can't play that for too long, though, because my right hand starts hurting really bad usually after the third guy. Is it the same for all left-handed people, or am I just a pathetic loser? erm.gif

I'm left-handed...but can't tell you anything cuz all I play at the arcade is DDR, I imagine it must be hard though... Play air hockey with a friend instead, it's competitive and you get mad when you lose. biggrin.gif

Also, you constantly have DDR songs stuck in your head. Waka Laka and Paranoia Hades come to mind. Speaking of Paranoia Hades, I need to add a few more words that automatically trigger DDR memories.(that shouldn't)

-Phoenix
-Hades
-Relinquish
-Any of the planets
-Unlimited
-legend
-[insert here]

Also, you can't listen to classical music without wondering if it has a DDR remake.

I can relate to this. I've tried Challenge songs while I was still on Light.

Also, when you print out a stepchart to a song and use your kitchen floor tiles as the arrows to step on.
