What do people do while playing DDR that really angers you?

When i hold the bar, some of my friends try to smack my hands so i can let go of it, i have bad enough balance and i dont wanna fall over while playing.

well, the thing to do is learn to play without the bar so you do have good balance.

ok i kind of rub things in people face only because i have had people tell me i suck until now where i can almost AA (heavy) things on command. (still need to work on not doing that)

but i hate when i am playing and someone purposely plays a really loud game next to the machine just so i cant here the music.

when parents let their kids go on the pad or right next to it ( and thanks alot to the parent who let their kid get on the pad i am playing to screw me up on Paranoia Survivor FU)

when people push me off the ddr pad and get away with it.

when kids walk right in my way so i cant see the arrows

i have alot more i just cant say them all

here are some things i hate:

when somebody goes on the other pad and pretends to play while i play single player

when a whole lot of people surround me while i play (they distract me)

when someone shows off purposely

when some1 repeadeatly plays 1 song over and over

and i guess thats it

I'll try my best to avoid doing those things when I'm playing.

Does it make people angry when someone stays 5-8 feet from the pad and pretends to play? (cause I do that)

Thanks for telling me about the coin line, because I hardly EVER play in arcades (I have Konamix, MAX, MAX2, and Extreme, and I like the pad that comes with the game BETTER than hard pads for some reason). If I hadn't read this topic, I wouldn't know what it was, but I get it now...

(just to let you know, I play 6-9 footers, have had MAX2 since Sep' 04, and consider "doing" a song getting an A or better. I also NEVER use the bar

I hate it :

1. Bar holders, Stop bar rape today.
2. When playing solo and someone dances on the other pad, without accually playing, I think its called shadowing or something.
3. Playing one song, over and over
4. Talkers, aka, while your playing someone talks to you.

here are the main things that happen at my local arcade that annoy me:

1. 4/5 times when it is my turn to play, this same kid who can AAA like every song comes sprinting full speed and jumps on the pad and puts tokens in to play (and there is nothing you can do about it but yell because it is a public place).

2. when dirty people wear muddy shoes to play and leave their mud for me to slip on (i think this was mentioned earlier in this thread).

3. when some really good kid disses me for getting a AA on Tears with 21 greats instead of SDG (this has happened).

4. when there are a hoard of people crowding the machine and I have to climb through people to put a token down just to wait 2 hours to play once (nobody likes waiting in lines).

5. when technick and his ddr posse come in and make fun of everyone else who isnt as good as him.

6. when somebody says "I am just getting past light I can almost pass that one song named 2mb it is really hard I just started" and goes up and AAA's PSMO shuffle stealth backwards while eating a taco.

some guy at quaker steak and lube tends to yell at the crowds while he's playing... yes you heard me; the crowd doesn't yell at him, he yells at the crowd. don't ask....

I don't mind having a crowd of people watching me... what really annoys me is when it's just ONE person, who just sits and stares at me nonstop...it's so creepy.

I have not been playing DDR for very long, I'd say about 6 months. I am on the verge of light mode to the point where I can play a few standard songs. I am in no way an expert.
The DDR machine at my usual arcade is currently broken, and I couldn't wait any longer for it to be fixed. I ventured to an arcade called Celebration Station ( I usually avoid going here due to the mass amounts of small children and crowded atmosphere).
Everything was going okay, they stood in line instead of putting coins on the bottom screen, which was different, but okay. Everyone was pretty nice before we ( me and my friend) played a few songs. I was still feeling the symptoms of a cold that I had had the past week, so of course I was not doing my best at all.
A group of guys decided to rip on my playing while standing directly behind the bar, and very loudly I might add. It was very distracting, and outrageously rude. They obviously assumed that they had the right to rip on me cause they played heavy mode. (and I am in no way refering to the playful teasing. This was just mean.)
I have so far had a wonderful experience with other DDR players, but this has ruined that innocence...Unfortunately...Have you guys met with this sort of experiance? ( if so I am sorry)

Just today, I saw a girl playing Beginner Mode. With her backpack on. While talking on her cell phone. I know its her prerogative, and it was probably her first time playing, but for some reason, it felt like an insult.

There was another guy who liked to play with his hands in his pockets. I don't know why, but that really irritated me as well. Of course, I chose not to say anything, since its none of my business how they choose to play.
