hey all, im doing an article for my school newspaper (The Lakewood High School Times) regarding DDR and other Bemani related games. so if anyone could answer some of the following questions for me i'd greatly appreciate it
0. Where are you located?
1. How did you first learn about DDR?
2. When did you first start playing DDR?
3. Which do you prefer, home or arcade, and why?
4. Why do you think DDR is so popular?
5. Have you ever tried any other Bemani-style games (such as Flash Flash Revoution) and if so what do you think of them? (and i know that FFR technically isnt Bemani, but im just generalizing for all rhythm-based games. thought i should note that since i got flamed for it on the OhioDDR.com boards)
6. If you own a home version of DDR, which version do you own and on what system? (and also how many pads?)
7. Anything else youd like to include?
8. What is your name/age?
i think thats it for now. at least thats what i cant think of atm. if you dont wanna post your name you can just PM me or email me ([email protected]) or something.
thanks bunches! Hugs and a metaphysical cookie to anyone who responds. |

I was at my friend's house, and she had 3rd mix and some other imports for her PSX.

Well, I started in 8th grade, and I'm in 11th now, so roughly 3 years.

I prefer arcade, simply because you don't have to worry about your own pad slipping and that stuff. I also don't have the space for a hard pad, which I like a lot more than soft pads.

Because it involves music, and people like music.

Nope.

PSX - 3rd mix, 4th mix, Extra mix, 5th mix, Konamix
PS2 - DDRMax
I have 2 pads

Nope.

1. DDR Konamix article in Gamepro.
2. January of last year.
3. Arcade. Got songs only available there and too many crappy ones on EXTREME US.
4. Because retards that can only do beginner spread the word too much.
5. Beatmania. (Not really, I play BemaniaDX) Its cool. I like it.
6. DDRMAX2, DDR EXTREME. I ripped one pad, ones missing and i'm borrowing one.
7. If your new to it and your all gasping at people that are like doing MAX 300, don't. Youll be as good as them someday. (Maybe better)

Lavonia, Georgia
1. How did you first learn about DDR?
I saw it in the arcade and gave it a try.
2. When did you first start playing DDR?
February 2003
3. Which do you prefer, home or arcade, and why?
Arcade. My pad sucks at home, and plus it's a much better environment when you play with others at the arcade.
4. Why do you think DDR is so popular?
Because I play it. No, people are so obsessed with losing weight nowaday that this is the only way to get them off their fatass and onto their feet, through a video game. Otherwise it's just a fun game.
Of course I have. Beatmani/IIDX, ParaParaParadise, Pop'n Music, Drummania, GuitarFreaks, and more that I can't think of right now.
6. If you own a home version of DDR, which version do you own and on what system? (and also how many pads?)
PS2 - DDRMAX, DDRMAX2, and DDR Extreme US
I own one pad, but i never use it.
7. Anything else youd like to include?
I hate peas.
8. What is your name/age?
