For anyone who hasn't been watching the thread about NNR, we've been discussing the merits of this site and its place in the world. Some of us Maine folks had the chance to beta test it and it looks and feels pretty slick.

It would be pointless to go into many details so I'll let you all decide for yourselves.

OMG Thank you SOOOOOOO much for posting this!!!! E4.gif Keeping track of my scores on paper is getting really annoying. The sites got some work to be done, but it's good enough for me atm. Thanks again! E1.gif

I think he was pointing out that Anubis pulled the plug on OtM after seeing DD:Recall.

I can assure everyone, my intent wasn't Ownage of OtM, although I've been e-mailing Anubis today and I think the bandwidth problems were starting to be a pain so I may have done him a favor. At any rate, he's going to help me get the Doubles scores up in DD:Recall so we're all in thi together. Thank you everyone!

I think that by the time we could hammer out a flawless import utility, most everyone would have their scores in DD:Recall already. Out of 100+ users who have registered already (in less than 24 hours!) there's already a handful of people with 256 entries (they all look legit, too, from what I can tell) and a ton of people with 100+ scores, so it looks like people are adapting fairly well. Now to iron out the rest of minor bugs so we can push forward with the real features.

i like the efforts going towards recall. however, i do have one question. this site will be up for as long as your company is doing well and such. so how about you let us know a bit about your company and its stability. do you plan on holding to this business for a while?

i apologize if i sound skeptical, but i think these are fair questions to ask because you guys are claiming better reliability and such.

but i must say, the site is looking good.

Ballsy. E13.gif Funny that no one has asked that yet.

I started Points South, the hosting ISP, in 1996. We service the entire state of Maine (yes, Maine) and we've done pretty well in our near decade of existence. Just voted the best ISP for the fifth year in a row, so I don't think we're going anywhere! If you wanna know more, PM me or e-mail me; if I go into any more details it'll start sounding like an ad.

Very nice job so far with ddrecall. I like how you can input up to 15 songs at once, and not worry about perfect count, as well. Looks spiffy too. Great job!

It feels a little slow accessing the page though, but maybe that's because of the influx of new users from here and other places. It should stabilize in time, right?

When I joined the site three days ago it was very speedy. It will most likely be fast again once everyone gets settled.

It took 27 hours from the first announcement to get our first 200 users. Currently, there are 344 users, so there are currently over 300 people inputting all their score data from scratch. Yeep! It should settle down soon. Somday my dream is to actually raise some revenue from it and put it on it's own server, but that probably won't happen until the sister sites get on-line, including support for ITG, PF/DM, GF, etc.
