I got two of the 6.0 pads. They feel a wee bit thinner and lighter than the Red Octane Ignition, but otherwise they're pretty good. The foam is really firm and hardly squishes at all. They need a little bit of wearing in, as they start out not very sensitive, but with some use they get much better. The top is the textured top, not the smooth kind.
The guy also sells these on his website www.vortz.com if you don't want to go through EBay for some reason.
I don't know how these work on XBox, I got the PS version. The same guy also sells dual XBox/PS versions for the 6.0 pads, but I don't know if these are physically the same or not.
I haven't tried the 5.0 personally, but judging from the descriptions on the Vortz website the foam in those is squishier than in the 6.0.
If Cutriss (I can't spell) is reading this, I'd like to suggest opening up a thread for the Vortz pads, as they don't seem to be the same as the RO/LevelSix or whatever else pads are out there. With the textured top, hard foam, and cheap EBay prices, I think the Vortz pads are probably the best deal out of all the Ignition type pads out there. |
