My girlfriend will occasionally play on Light Mode...but the only song she actually likes is "My Summer Love."

She plays sometimes, and I guess it's kind of cool, but like my friends and family, I think she finds the game weird and sad.

Every guy's dream? I don't really think so. Not every guy plays DDR.

i'm a girl, and i'm pretty good at DDR. when my boyfriend first saw me, he was mesmerized by my uber skills, and thats when we started going out. 3 years later, i'm still with my DDR boyfriend.

It would suck, unless you you all kept it a huge secret. Girlfriend's are girlfriends because tey are attartive, nice, and hopefully somewhat intelligent. if they play DDR, than they are prollt ugly as heel or kinda an anime nerd. I saw a somewhat hot girl playing DDR the other day, but i bet she thought it was a joke. Which it is.

Im afraid to tell girls i meet i play DDR. Unless they arn't very attractive then hell. Ill tell them how much im on the comp a day. But DDR has a terrible first impression. Think about this. YOu go into a arcade to play DDR and you see a croud of people surrounding the star wars mashine witha coin line and abbreviations for hard stages. And when they do extremely good they say GOSH, IM DOING BAD TODAY. ANd the fact that DDR is about dancing and has some really lesbo songs, like Love <3 Shine. And Sexy Planet. poopy like that when they see you playing Max 300. THEYRE NOT IMPRESSED. THEY ARE LIKE, WTF IS HE DOING, WHAT A WASTE OF TIME.

And to have this reputation with a ugly girlfriend. I might as wwell kill myself.

You're probably intoxicated, have little to no perception of t3h whole picture, or just plain biased. I've seen/played with girls who were damn cute/pretty and did better than I did on some songs. Heck, one of the girls used to work at my fav arcade (Boomers), and was quite the fan of "The Least 100 Seconds", which I had much trouble completing on Heavy.
If your area you live in is SO bad that that is all you see, I feel for you. Otherwise, you need to change arcades...

I used to think it'd be really cool

But with the girlfriend I have right now the cons would outweight the pros.

There are some girls who just dont like video games unfortunately

Yeah of course there are pros of having a relationship with someone that shares an interest with you, but if DDR is the sole similarity you share then you really need to reconsider the relationship(How about that for a run-on sentence?!). I like music, you like music. LET'S GET HITCHED! Too bad it doesn't work like that. I must admit that I did meet someone at a DDR tourney and I see him basically every weekend (and yes he is better at DDR than I am) but I wouldn't go out with him just because I did meet him at a video game tournement. And if you are going out with someone, that truly likes you, that doesn't play, I'm pretty sure he/she would be willing to learn something new and spend some time with you. And I pay for all of my own games too so you can't claim that all girls steal your money

well currently my girl is practicing ddr and she likes it so she'll get better with time. For now she's still playing on light mode. But so far, due to personal experience, it hasn't been a good idea to go out with girls that play ddr and I have 4 reasons for it

1: The first girl that my friend went out with was only interested in what he could buy her. She would constantly talk him into buying her crap at hot topic. She was whiny, pissant, and a total poser.

2: Another girl that I knew pretty much yanked at the heart strings of me and my friends. A really bad misunderstanding of words and emotions cause me to go temporarily insane, and she single handedly ended the 13 year relationship of 2 of my other friends and cause our richmond hill empire to pretty much crumble. 22 friends reduced to 9 because of her. I can't walk through that place without looking back because of her now.

3: A girl who was a friend of the first 2 was pretty much a complete whore though I didn't know that until later. I had a thing for her and I was pretty much there whenever she needed me for emotional support and her being bipolar, she needed alot of it. But of course she just treated me as a friend and later had sex with my 2 best friends and gave the rest all blowjobs. All that and I didn't get any!

4: Another girl that my friend picked up on cheated on him with a 26 year old guy when he was 13.

I'm not biased or anything to girls that play ddr or anythig, These have all just been my personal experience.
