This is soemthing I've thought about for a long time. Do you believe that the calorie counter for workout mode is accurate? If not, do you think you're losing more or less calories then what it indicates?
It probably all depends on body type and movement...but judging from your personal experiences, what do you think? |

I personally don't think it's accurate simply because I could slide my foot over a sensor to the numbers rolling. I guess it's just a nice little gauge though, you know? I use the time clock anyway... |

I recently used Heart rate monitor and compared to Calorie counter in DDR Extreme home game. Heart Rate monitor indicated about half of what Game said. I think Itâs all depend on your level of comfort on each steps and how much movement you make. Such as previous poster said, you can just slide food to hit the arrow or jump to hit. If you are new to the game, you may burn more then game indicates. Not sure though. |

When you get to Heavy, even though there are more steps, you learn more ways to conserve energy. I probably expend more energy playing some light songs just because I bounce around more than when I play heavy songs, where I have more controlled movement.
I've never thought it was accurate, but its still really cool to gauge a workout. My sister played solely on workout mode but really moved around to burn calories and stuff, even though she played Heavy normally. |
