Hey, if you've got a hit style that works for jackhammering, cool. My original claim was that playing in the traditional alternating-hand taiko method is tougher than playing on a Dual Shock. However, it seems like playing with this style would help in the long run, sort of like getting good at alternating pick direction in Guitar Freaks, as faster streams would require a LOT less stamina. So have you tried this traditional taiko method at all yet?

On some songs, but I GA better with one hand sometimes.
Now I have DDR for leg exercise and Taiko for arm exercise. _________________

Ha ha, yeah, these drum games can give you a hell of an arm workout depending on the song. I haven't played this much recently, but I probably ought to, since there are still a couple songs left for me to clear on Oni. It's just so damned loud, though. Heh.

You're like 3 posts behind, there, chief.
P.P.S. It's "jaarimasen", not "jaa arimasen".

Dancing squid = awesome.
Plus those weird little taiko's with legs... it's so cutesy and cheesy I actually like it.
And now my favorite beginning movie quotes!!! (may not be exact but close enough)
"Let's walk down the middle of the street!"
"I look cool in my new festival clothes!"
"I'm so hapy now... even if I was scolded for forgetting to wash my hands."
I laughed so hard when I saw those... _________________

i think the translations were a little "loose" on the movie.
"now the sun has come up"
"just you and me"
"sunday" _________________

Ok I'm ready for a new taiko druming game now... Anyone know when we may see one?
Also any chance of a game like 'donkey konga jungle beat' (using the td of course) coming to PS2?
....oni finished...
... most easy songs done using two drums... _________________

donkey kong is a nintendo character, so i dont think we'll see it. it would also requite a seperate controller.
just wait for another port from japan, or get a modchip. thats what i did. _________________

HEY SUP GUYS
Taiko is a great game. i bought the $60 bundle basically for the controller though, because DAMN the american Taiko has some HORRIBLE songs on it. Anyways, I'm glad to see a thread for this great game, and I was wondering if anyone could give me a link to a Taiko JP torrent. Any mix is great, I don't care, I just want to have something to play other than "toxic".

There's nothing special about passing Genji on Oni. It took me like a month to pass it ever since I purchased the game and the controller.
I'm hoping they're make a sequel to it wit more harder songs. _________________
