| i talked to someone in california who tested the extreme and max2 arcades before they were available to te public. i think they have people that they scout to test. i dont think its hard to find avid ddr players in cali since theres what, like 408 machines in the state alone. |

The machines aren't brought here illegaly. Konami sells the cabinets, electronics and game discs for most of the machines you find.

Just because I like to make up conspiracy stories.
Sure the official DDR machines say "for use in japan only!"
However to not exploit the American markets is a foolish act to take.
So Konami secretly ships official DDR machines to U.S. shores, NOT BOOTLEGS!!! If our machines are bootlegs, then Konami is supporting the movement of Bootlegging, secretly profiting.
So there, there is my dark secret, probably false story.
