It's aite, nothing really spectacular. You had better hope to hell that there's more to a relation than DDR. I mean, my girl plays it (quite well at that), but there's far more that we do together than it.

Yeah, same here. My gf plays DDR too, but it doesn't really mean anything. It's just one more thing we have in common. It's cool and all, but not "spectacular" or anything. |

However, your last statement confuses me. What's wrong with wanting to have common interests with a girl you're going to seek out as a potential love interest? I was once with a girl who was really wonderful but we couldn't get along because in terms of what we liked to do we had very little in common. |
I'm not saying video games are manly either. (Hence the quotes)
My last statement says if you're ONLY gonna go for a girl because she plays ddr then that's just really shallow and would be equivalent to checking out girls at a mall.

I concur. Video games are universal.
Aside from reading all of that my girlfriend is going through health complications to be doing anything of a relaxing sort. We're both in college. I'm too busy with school and skateboarding she's too busy with school and keeping up her health. But I AM going to try to teach her some things...(that is when we have time, shes a very fast learner)

I met my fiance playing DDR! We just happened to be there at the same time a lot and started dating. DDR isn't all that we have in common but we both love it and it will always have meaning for us. I know that sounds weird but it's true. We were playing butterfly together and after we both fc'd it he got down on one knee and proposed right there on the platform. It was so great!!

My ex-gf absolutely hated the game and would place herself at least 100 feet from the arcade even if I was playing. She also didnt like the DDR soundtracks I played in the car... go figure.
My current gf loves it and likes listening to the music too. I consider myself very lucky. She dislikes watching basketball and football though |
