Just remember, this is ITG1. Extreme was DDR8 (with club version and shit as well so more like 10ish). ITG2 is supposed to have about 200 songs on there, Extreme has the advantage of being around for 2 years so everyone knows the songs and has their favorites, while ITG is still a new product and everyone is still figuring wtf is their favorite (if you don't like bubble dancer you don't deserve to breathe air >:O)

What?

The metal/rock on ITG works perfectly, the same way metal and rock work for PIU. ...and it not a bunch of random headbanging shit, it's good metal. I'm not even a fan of the genre, but I could listen to Hybrid all day.

Also, why does you think it's unlicensed? The only unlicensed music in ITG is the in house stuff (KeeL, ZiGZaG [unclear if this is Keel], and (I think) DJ Zombie/Kid Whatever [I could be wrong though]), and Machinae Supremacy is a pretty popular band, not someone they just found.

More metal and rock in the future is for sure a plus. The game is in need of more variety, and this fits the bill.

I saw some videos. Has a similar interface to DDR. Also has a lot of difficulty modifiers that aren't in the official DDR mixes (after all, they're from STepmania).

Interesting....even though it's unofficial.

I wonder what the red circles in one of teh videos is...looks liek something outta Dance Maniax.

I believe the red circles you are referring to are "mines". They take away points and life if you ignite them.

On the rock, all I know is that I've been a big fan of rock/metal for years. I like ,many types of music; from rob zombie to justin timberlake to paul oakenfold to shakira to black eyed peas, I heard some pretty crappy crap spewing from the ITG speakers. Whatever that chick metal song was needs to burn in the fires of a thousand white hot suns.

Also, most of the ITG machines are just converted DDR machins W ITG software added.

DDR has been around 5 or 6 years (maybe seven) anyhow I don't see why they would go to a songlist of 200 this quickly... thats overdoing it a bit... I mean if they set expectations for the series that high then people will expect 200 or more songs... like with DDR Extreme... I don't think they could think of a follow up with 248 songs... but for the record Konami could take a look at ITG and PIU and give some competition again... they just need to realize something : All their Stepmakers only make hard steps for songs that say Max or Paranoia on them.... thats rather annoying... while the game should have step up to difficulty... I think it should all be in Standard mode... most of the Heavy steps anyway...

The thing i like about the 12s is that they all play to a different strength, some people pass Delirium last, and others pass it first, it all matters what you're good at (and what you whore E10.gif)

Actually, ITG puts software AND HARDWARE in the DDR cabinets. sarc.gif

This is the first tiem I've ever heard of ITG, and I'm excited. I want to play. Anyone know if this is coming out for PS2, GCN or another console?

Does anyone have any websites to other DDR "fakes." meaning...other dance games? Are there others for the consoles. I know there's MC Groovz for GCN...

Thanks tons

Rick

Yes, if all goes as planned, it should, eventually be released on home console(s). I know PIU is on PC. Not sure if it's on any home consoles though.

Actually, I think ITG will only be coming to the PC is it ever comes out, from what I've been hearing. Though, I wouldn't mind a ITG for PS2.

And, no, PIU is just for the PC, as far as I know. I could be wrong, though.

Wrong. (pwnage approaching) Here's an email I sent to the kind folk at Roxor:

Hi, Keifer,

Thanks for your kind words of praise. We can't comment on unannounced
products, but I think you'll be happy when we do announce. : )

Cheers,

Jason

What comes when you buy a BoXoR

(no i'm not trying to plug my site, i'm proving a point E13.gif ) You totally remove the brainbox for the old didder mix and stick le BoXoR in there. It isn't hard, we switch out the BoXoR occasionally for the rare 3rd mix night that we have. You also drill a hole on the side of the machine (the BoXoR comes with instructions and a drill bit even) to mount the usb slots.

What our finished machine looks like

Whaaa? I think it's the hardest. I mean, I understand the 'different strengths' thing and all, but I haven't seen a single person before you say VerTex is harder than Tell. I rank them:

VerTex<Delirium<Euphoria<HotN<Tell. I say that from being able to star VerTex and barely get Tell close to 80%. Well... The last 3 are all close to 80, but I have a lot less trouble beating them.

For me Vertex=Delirium<Tell<HotN<Euphoria (i haven't beaten Euphoria yet heh). Vertex is only hard because i can't get a good mod to read it all well, i either have to sacrifice FA for most of the song and play it on 2x accel decel, or i die at the end playing on normal 2x, but i have a good score until then. I'm probably just going to memorize the end of it and then play on 2x. Delirium is just the big pile run at the end, Tell is easy to flail at and get (i have more problems with the long 16th note runs with the mines at the middle, if i'm tired i'm done there), Hotn is just fear, and Euphoria is really tiring because of the random crossovers and just trying to hit all the 32nds.

I know Tell is tough to FA, but it's not very stamina draining. It was pretty easy for me to pass. IMO, Vertex<<<Tell<Delirium<HOTN<Euphoria

I've still yet to pass Euphoria

Try 1.5x mini for VerTex. It works for me, and I've fec'ed the hard, and starred the expert. Some people around here who've tried it though say it's too small to read for them...

Their machine has no ddr stickers on it. They replaced all of them with ITG stickers.
