butterfly is by far the most popular at ddruk, but i don't even like that song. la copra de vida, we will rock you, and graduation all have their varying spots on the players best list in the arcade i play at, though

I'd venture to guess that since the first three have staying power; they've been around since the first few mixes. Butterfly was from the original, Dam Dariram and Captain Jack were both on 3rd Mix (the mix that pretty much got the ball rolling for DDR), and Butterfly's more popular Upswing Mix was also on 3rd (one of the most easily recognizable DDR songs out there, even though it hasn't been on a mix since 4th Plus.) Hell, there's been a version of Butterfly on all the numbered mixes except for 6th and 7th.
I'm in the Mood for Dancing and Look at Us first appeared in 6th and 7th Mix, respectively. I'm in the Mood for Dancing is an alright song (nothing absolutely memorable or challenging about it). Look at Us was never licensed for 8th Mix, and quite honestly, the steps are absolutely atrocious. Probably one of the most rhythmically quirky and awkward 7's in the game.  |

As for the most popular, i would have to say butterfly and we will rock you, oh and R3, i see those being played way too much...
as for me... healing vision angelic mix, drop out, the maxs and paranoias

| Each time I play at the arcade (few times), I see everyone do "Daikenai" on Heavy Mode. I traveled to another town and Daikenai was the song everyone played too! Side note, I can't do that song even on Standard. |

Its kind of addicting. Plus, after you play it about two times, youve pretty much got it memorized. The light are easy to commit to memory, so thats why most of the people at my arcade play it. And because Im at that arcade the most and I always warm up with that song.

Butterfly is even fun once you can do all of the stuff in the game because of the fun SPINS!! as well it doesn't really stop... unlike some songs such as Lets Get Down, which has spins too but not non-stop stream and doesn't sound as good.
Butterfly sounds amazing, and has amazing steps. Probably why it's so extremely popular. |

I don't have an arcade, but the song I see played most everywhere is A. Followed by that one are AM-3P, Abyss, and Holic.

Where the only machine I can play is MAX2, the answer is:
a minute
I hate that song because it is the first song to choose on MAX2 and apparently new players don't realize you can choose different songs. So they play that song. 3 times in a row. |
