Dance Pad Malfunction

I'm sure you get this a lot, but the arrows on my BNS DX Extreme pad, specifically the Right and Down ones, don't register all the time.

I've had it since April last year and it just began to do this. It 's driving me crazy because I can pass an oni course with the thin 15 dollar pad, but my fifty dollar one makes me fail because it doesn't register jumps that well.

I opened it up and tried shaking it, but that didn't help. I'm also certain that it's not Dance Play either, because I turn it off when I use the pad.

I'm about to take a pair of scissors to the pad to see if the wires are smushed or something.

Any help would be appreciated.

Its just worn out. You can attempt to repair it, but you might as well just buy a new one.

How would I go about trying to repair it? I'm a little tight on cash, so buying a new pad is probably my last resort.

Problem Solved! I just pulled out the foam insert from my 50 dollar pad and duct tapped my 15 dollar pad to it. Sure, it looks ghetto, but I can finally play oni mode again without having to worry about failing 3 seconds into it!
