Well, i just got a new version of the SMLAN server program, "rev 6" it's called. Its not released yet, I believe im the only one who has it, cause CNLohr made it to fix the crashing problem Ive been having. But hopefully this release will make it so the server stays up and doesnt close randomly.
BTW, thanks to those who actually go on the server. |

But until a week passes without any crashes, I do not plan to release REV6 on sourceforge. |

Its not SMOnline yet. There is a difference between SMLAN and SMOnline. One is designed specifically for LAN play (SMLAN). And SMOnline is more for online play. But, SMOnline isnt out yet, still in beta testing. But once its out, youll like it better than SMLAN. |

Really! That's coo. What's different about SMOnline?
I was playing under the assumption that SMLAN was just a direct connection between two IPs, while SMOnline is the server-based setup. _________________

Heavymax2nut: ever played Gunbound or CS or anything? It'll be like that- servers with multiple people on at all times playing against each other, and there will probably be (or at least there should be) servers for different skill levels or playing styles and such. I personally can't wait. _________________

Oooohhh ok. Thanks CNLohr.
Staroceanfreakx, that's pretty much what we've been doing now, at least I thought. I play Call of Duty and Halo (PC) as well as some other small games like America's Army and whatnot, so I know about the whole server thing. _________________

Well I've checked out a few of the servers, but few; if any people are online. We should try to establish times that we'll be up on any of the servers.
This is actually pretty cool. We just need lots and lots of people.
