What is wrong with my mat!

Hey there, i geuss im kinda new to ddr, i got it for ps2 like a week or 2 ago. im ok, the best i can do is on ddr extreme, i can do kick the can on heavy and get a b.well enough about me.i wasnt satisfied with the gamestop brand mat i got cause it slipped around to much, way to much. so i go to eb games and im lookin for just the konami pad but then i see the nakiworld one with the foam and u can use it on ps2 and xbox. it was 50 bucks and i happened to have a gift certificate for 50 so i grab it and go to the register. i know there would be tax so i brought a few extra bucks and the guy is ringing it up he says they have a warrentee thing thats 5 bucks, he charges me it and the total comes roughly to 58 bucks, i only had 53 so i told him i couldnt get it cause i didnt have the money so he said hed take the warentee thing off.so i buy it and get home quickly and open it up, i slide the foam inside the mat and i hop on, wow, that felt good on my feet.i play a couple songs and go to bed. the next day i take it out and start playing, something was wrong with the x button, when i clicked on roulette and it stoped right away like i pressed it 2 times fast and i was like that was weird. i decide to do the song but when i hold down x to go to te options(i always play with boost on) it gos directly to the song instead of to the options menu.i get mad and try again and it stil does the same thing. today (im at my friends house right now who has it for xbox) i go to my friends house to test out the xbox cable.this is where i get pissed. i start playing through the song and i notice im hitting all the buttons at the right time but im getting boo every time. i tell me friend and he discovers most of the buttons are not working at al. the left, up, down, x, triangle, square, and circle buttons are all not working. also i dicover a rip on the top on a crease where u fold it so i geuss it ripped from me folding it up(lame) because i have never done anything to it. i dont know if i can return it or not cause that warentee thing i didnt pay for aand im so mad, any1 else have this mat?experiancing any problems with it?also i dont want to buy like a redoctane ignition pad cause they to expensive but i want a mat that doesnt move at all, any suggestions on what i should try next?

Well, you should report the problem to the manufacturer, since it's not your fault. It may have been defective, so turn it in for a new one.
And no, I haven't had much trouble with my pad. I've got an Ignition 2.0 and trust me; it's worth it.

Gotta love ignitions... until you use them with just the foam. My longest lasting pair went for 9 months but only because of modification.

ok well i just got home and it works fine so i geuss it just doesnt work on xbox but still the buttons stick alot and there have been plenty of times when they dont work like they should, i was on ebay and there was a thing for 2 ignition pads(i dont think they were 2.0 but hey its redoctane) for only ten bucks sounds nice. the only thing is though its telling my mom i dont like the pad i just got cause she got me the gamestop pad and i said it was bad so i got that one and i think she will get mad if i tell her this one isnt working.also the people who who at the eb near me are jerks and i doubt theyd give me my money back.examples of them being jerks all in one day: they were making fun of a retarded kid becaus ehe thought he could use his gamestop card there, they kicked a kid out becaus ehe had a gamestop bag, they made fun of a little kid because he asked for a wireless router for his xbox they were like i dont know why ud think wed have them here.)so would ebay be a good place to buy em from?
