I just got my flux today, it works rly great but it plays similar to my old Ignition style eBay pad lol which i find pretty funny. The difference I notice is that there are less ghost steps and more perfects, which has helped me a lot. I guess that ebay pad is pretty good, but I love this pad! |

Wow, CF's new buy one get one deal. ^^ Haha, j/k.
That's weird. I don't know what would happen, you just have to tell us. _________________

How long does it take them to ship it? I ordered mine on Sunday, so I'm hoping to get it some time next week. _________________

Anyone know what game would require a pad like the CF? What game can I buy for a console that uses the 4 diagonals and the center button? If I can find that out I'll consider making my home built pad to have 9 buttons and no static panels... man that would be nuts, hehe.

Pump it Up uses diagonols + center. Stepmania can run in PUI mode and you can buy PUI for PC. |

Hi guys,
i have been noticing that in fast songs with crossovers (particularly exotic ethnic) my pad slides around a lot, not usually in the down-right or down-left crossovers but in the up-right and up-left ones. is there any modification i can use to make my CF have more friction on the ground, cause the grip tape stuff they give you with the pad just doesnt seem to cut it. Thanks. _________________

In hoping the knowledge has grown a bit, and having not found an answer myself, I'm going to try a question I asked a few months back.
I'm having an issue with some controller boxes I sort-of-constructed. We were having some issues with the CF control boxes and PS1 games, so I built a breakout port for the CF into an original issue PSX controller (actually, two). They work very well with the PS1 and Stepmania (through a Directpad Pro-type connection).
However, with the PS2 (US Extreme in particular), I'm having some trouble with the pad randomly triggering X and triangle (triangle and square are mapped to the Start and Select buttons on the CF). This, of course, exits the game and is most troublesome. It only does this when the CF is connected to the controller "box." (The box is the PSX pad, and there are no random triggers when the pad is only used). Furthermore, it would seem that both contoller boxes cause the same trouble with one pad, but not on another.
This leads me to believe that his pads (I don't own the CFs) may be faulty, but he doesn't have this trouble when the CF control boxes are used. I intend on making a special set that will only have the arrows mapped, thus solving the problem in their case.
But, I would still like to know if someone else has experienced similar phenomena. Could it possibly just be hardware differences between the PS1 and PS2? (I don't think it is, as the contollers work fine on either. But, you never know.) I would like to know in the case I someday purchase a CF or build my own pad. Thanks for any info folks, and for hearing me out on my overly-long post. _________________

I know this may seem like a stupid qeustion, but I'm trying to set up my CF for PIU play as well. How do I activate the center button? Is it just taking off the panel and removing the cardboard blocking the sensor (what I've heard) or something different? I feel like such a noob right now... |
