you shouldn't be able to tell the difference. polycarbonate is generally less durable than most acrylics tho.

Dude, what is your problem? look here: http://www.hubbell-canada.com/whitePapers/lighting/whitehlpolylenses.asp

Please provide some evidence to the stupid one-line responses you make, like the response you gave in another thread ( http://www.ddrfreak.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=7911397&highlight=#7911397 ) about how a person should return their pad, giving no reason. And the way you give ignorant one-line responses, that actually makes you the postwhore.

And to answer recoilfx's original question, it looks like polycarbonate is slightly less clear than acrylic, but I don't know if it would be noticable.

Polycarbonate is very strong. Lexan is a polycarbonate plexi and is considered the most durable of thermoplastics. Polycarbonate sheets will take a beating where acrylic would easily crack.

Acrylic is generally considered the weakest form of plexi, used just for hobby use. Also, acrylic and polycarbonate look the same, the only difference is its durability.
