*randomly wanders in* taiyo sucks. a horridly generic song. the rest of 8th is sex though. why do you all like taiyo? just curious. i suppose you like ki-se-ki though too.
and does anyone actually like the song DBAM; or is it just that you like to drool over the video? i like the notechart, but the song makes me _________________

bmIII n00b questions (prolly been somewhere in the 84 pages in this thread, but oh well):
-how do you access extra options (speed mods and such)?
-what is "border bonus"?
-what is the floppy drive for? _________________

Ageha sounds like another Ryu song similar to Starmine and Rainbow Rainbow. It's decent though.
Be quiet and Narcissus Oasis owns all! _________________

The floppy drive is for saving your scores, and I think it needs to be a Fat32 format disc.
I have never played BMIII, so I dont know what "Border Bonus" is.
If its *anything* like the original beatmania, you can access them either before you start the game by pressing "EFFECTOR" or in the menu by pressing "EFFECTOR". _________________

alright. This is going to sound weird, but its true. I am addicted to this game and have never played it. Hell, i've never seen as much as a screenshot. I had a dream last night in which i played it, and it was way too cool to ever forget, so i absolutely need this game.
So let me get this straight: I need a japanese ps2 to play IIDX, and that stuff can all be bought on playasia, right? Thanks. _________________

It's been some time since I played BMIII, but I'll do my best.
Extra options: push the corresponding white or black buttons after inserting your tokens. Before you push the start button.
Border Bonus is when you beat the song with your groove gauge exactly at 80% a.k.a barely beating the song.
Floppy drive is to save your scores to your floppy disc. |

Much easier to just mod your existing PS2 than getting a new japanese one so you can save money.
All you really need is a flip top and a Swap Disc. Installing a flip top isn't difficult if you're careful and follow the directions on certain sites.
By the way, way isn't anyone on this topic excited about 9th style CS? Announced so quickly and coming in March, it's one of the most surpising things I've heard for awhile. |

TAIYO does suck. i really like Dont Be Afraid of Myself, the song that is...those girls are definitely distracting though =)
by the way nikki, i superglued my controller to my little table, so now i can do stupid hard songs like 5.1.1. without having it go all over the place...only problem is, i can't take it anywhere anymore ^____^ oh well. _________________

So my arcade got Beatstage 5th Mix. I'm just wondering if the codes for Beatstage are the same as the ones I found on Gamewinners for Beatmania. |

Right now, I consider the thing that makes DBAM worse would be the video.
I consider the song nice but the girls in the vid have sloppy dance moves. Really pathetic choreography. With that kind of video, I would prefer that it would not have a video instead of placing that crappy poopy.
If they wanted to make the vid nice, they should've used a generic/normal video instead or even better, use GOLI arts like the ones used in DoLL but with more animations instead of stills. _________________

hehe I finally got to play IIDX RED at SVGL!
Really awesome in my opinion. Although the timing sort of like the same thing as 10th style's timing. _________________
