And because this thread is about freestyling, I guess this is of course a part of a whole, well-flowing, full-featured dance routine, not just `Oh look I can do this trick that I thought up so I'm gonna do it for the entire 1:30 song and call it a freestyle!' right?
Let's hear about your master routine!

i think knee drops and hand plants can be good as long as you're creative with it.
dont do the standard stuff that everyone has seen and is bored of. create something new using the *idea* behind the knee drop and the handplant.
for instance. there's a locking move (dont know the name of it) in which you drop to one knee, kick your opposite leg out, swing your arm around (pivoting at the elbow), and slap your hand on the ground. when done smoothly and with precision, its a very audience-pleasing move. this would be an example of getting creative on ddr with the idea of handslaps and knee drops. _________________

People these days killing knee drops. I see sometimes it takes them 10 seconds to recover. Another time this guy just did a kneedrop at a bad time of the song...........I love knee drops and always use them in my routine. Use them before a big break:like healing vision. |

I have some Improv and one Routine on my computer, but, I don't have a host.
Most of them are pretty old, anyway, I actually have a slight bit of dancing skill now, and, I think it's only shown in one or two of the videos.

Me and my friend are doing I guess what you could call a "showdown" routine using R3. He does the first part backwards, then I do the 2nd part of it backwards. It's like a funny skit, and some fancy footwork. At the beginning its funny cuz we're all like, "HEY MAN! You wanna go? Right here right now!!" Good times |

I want to make a small routine to fill the middle part of Paranoia Rebirth heavy. I was thinking that since there is that long stream and then it ends abruptly, to a part pretty scarce with arrows, I was thinking of on that first up arrow just jumping really high in the air and spinning around as fast as I could, and then land on the right arrow, or whatever comes next. I don't know about the rest though. Any tips?
Also, I have a freestyle dream, to someday make a couples routine to Tsugaru, where two guys come in in full samurai outfits and wooden swords and like have a sword battle. The tempo stop in the beginning of the song could be like, them bowing, and then at the end, the last few steps could be done by one of them falling on their knees, and then all the way down, like dead. It would be awesome. _________________
