when did you start ddr

The question for this topic is When did you first start or see the DDR machine and wanted to play it, and did you see somebody play it first or did you just start. try to give exact date if possable. (this is for a report)

It depends on what you mean by "first play." I played about 10 songs back in June and hadn't really played until October. Exact date in June: June 16, 2004, I think. I wouldn't consider that "starting" since I hadn't played but a couple more songs til October, when I bought my own DDR. Exact date of that: October 2004 (approx. 3 days after I joined DDR Freak, it should say after I post this). I had heard of it from my vietnamise friend (Johnny), but hadn't played. I thought it would be fruity. At a Cedar Point I saw it and a different friend (Jeff) said lets play it. I figured "Meh, might as well..." I liked it, of course. Bought it in October when I had enough money to buy Extreme and some boards, and thats really when I started playing. By the way, what class is this report for?

started to get into it in feb. 2004. went to standard over spring break 2004, with motivation by my friend. went to heavy at the beginning of summer 2004, with motivation from the same friend.

Started on November 3rd on Light. I saw a Techno Motion machine on a boardwalk and decided to play it. After that, I got hooked, so I asked EB Games if they had a home version of an arcade game where you stomp arrows. I got DDRMAX2 that day. I got to Standard in January, then Heavy in around March. I've been perfecting Heavy ever since.

October 28, 2001 for me.

I was the first at the arcade I used to frequent. That day I told myself that I wanted to be good at this game and that was it. Now I'm still around after 3 years and 1 month.

Seven years ago when I was six. I think it was either '97 or '98. But I remember it was during the winter time, around November or December.

I think it was on April 12, 2002 when i was 8 almost 9. I started before that on stepmania usuing hands then we got a pad and all and i really started playing on April 12 on light. O and my brother showed me it.

i started november last year(2003) cause my friends went to the arcade and the first couple times we went i didn't play DDR, then i decided to play. i started on beginner for like..two weeks than started light and then started standard in like..january and heavy in like march. and pretty much just playing heavy and getting better since then. i also play challenge mode now too.

Back in November 2003 I was at my niece birthday party at the arcade
and I saw some guy playing that was really good and I was instantly
hooked when I saw him play.So when he left I started to play,plus I
needed to lose some pounds because I was overweight.Nine months later
I lost 90lbs!

I first played DDR when my friend brought it over. at first i didnt at all want to play, but i couldnt help myself, that was 3 months ago, about september 15-20th, '04. Never did beginner. Started on light, went to standard about early october, then heavy early november.
