I noticed that weird positioning on the 2-player mode myself. Very strange indeed. The 8-panel setup is intriguing, but the whole problem of the included Mad Catz pad makes me hesitant. There's probably a way to hook up a PS2 or Xbox pad, though. Then there's the matter of the ugly, ugly graphics. x_X |

it's kinda sad that Madkatz can get actual music that really is mainstream and that a lot of people and Enos trys to only go for stuff he thinks everyone will like.
that game looks ugly as hell but it has a pretty good song list. |

Just to let ya all know, it's out now. Between getting a DS, another Taiko drum, and Mario Party 6, I doubt I'll be seeing this before the middle of January.
Anyone who gets it, please be kind enough to post an honest, non-biased review for the rest of us who still wanna decide whether or not it's worth the funds. And thanks ahead of time. _________________

Hmmmm.........this looks extremely similar to Dance:UK. Or more like Dance:UK completely STRIPPED of its graphics except for the outlines of the arrows . I will die if the final game looks like that (maybe they changed it since its release?). I MIGHT pick it up if its like 10 bucks.

Dude, I didn't even think of that when I first saw the screenshots but you're right. It does look like Dance: UK. Well, except really, really awful. As for the graphics, somehow I doubt they're gonna change. After all, this is Mad Catz. Everything they make is junk. I wonder if/when we're gonna see a review of this this game. I'd guess most reviewers wouldn't even want to touch it with a 50-foot pole. |

y istn Butterfly on dis mix
...as for copyright infringement, if Roxor can blatantly steal the entire idea and then sell it in Konami's own cabinet, I don't think swapping the up and down arrows are going to make or break any potential this game might have.
But then, apparently one of the missions in Extreme US had swapped up and down and I was so wrapped up in everything else I had to do that I didn't even notice. XD
For clarification, can you do eight-arrow mode DDR-style, or is that just four-arrow mode?

Just bought it tonight......and yes it SUCKS. The song selection isn't bad at all but the gameplay is just horrible. First off, all the songs are the regular length versions! In other words....."Parent's just don't understand" is 5 FRICKING MINUTES! There are two different ways to view the arrows. You can either use "Spin" which is the arrows coming from the center then moving out or "Scroll" which is DDR arrows with the up and down arrows switched which made things very confusing. It plays like Ultramix in the sense that there is no "set" amount of songs to play and you put in your initials after every song.
The game sucks so bad that I erased the memory card data off my card. I didn't want to disgrace my memory card with this filth. A decent song selection wasn't enough to save this game for me. Back to Gamestop it goes! _________________
Ballad for you - 65 BPM, Be in my paradise - 63 BPM, I'll make love to you - 50 BPM. Yay for the DDR slow love song movement! Honorable mention to bag - 65 BPM |

Mmm, 800+ combos.
Full version songs don't faze me, but they do have to be songs I like, and I'm not really a fan of 'American' music. I would like to try this out, but I certainly don't want to pay to have to do it. Hmm.

Okay...
I thought the song list was pretty good...
I thought I'd give it a chance...
I thought it couldn't be that bad...
So I bought it...and returned it snappity snuff!
The biggest reason why you shouldn't buy this game is that they miss the point of most music games... being that things are on time. The arrows to not scroll to the right speed of the music. They don't match up to 1/4 beats. They don't really match the music AT ALL. _________________

Uhhhh, have you heard of a little game called Donkey Konga!? Last time I checked, it was a rhythm game. |
My bad. A dancing rhythm game.
And thanks for the heads-up on how bad this game is. Saved me 50 bucks. _________________

wow the whole "arrow don't match with music and there seems to be no order" sound again, like Dance:UK.
I think they just toally stole it and tried making it their own. That had to be the worst mistake they could've made. Dance:UK was a terrible game. Everything way off beat, full length songs, making the whole off-beat thing FLARE. The 1P and 2P were in 2 places on the screen, exact same places as this game. They scrolled the same way.
Time to start calling it "Dance:UK ~Americanized~"
