Just recently I started getting this pain in my back a couple days ago. I initially assumed that it was because I was stressed and very tense all week. But, when I still had the back pain four days later, my mom got the idea that it might be all the DDR I've been playing over the past couple of months. I can see that impact on your feet can definitely cause a lot of pain sometimes, and many out there would probably say that we are really damaging our health. I don't know all the facts, though.

Has anyone else out there had any major health issues or injuries because of DDR? Are these health issues all that serious? Are we killing ourselves? What is your opinion?

I think it can be either: A: your daily exercise, B: a fun video game, or C: a competition to see who's the best at the game.

I think just sitting on our butts using our thumbs is killing us if anything is. Don't knock what requires you to move. Sure, I've gotten a bit sore, but I'm certainly burning more calories playing DDR than I was clicking buttons and grabbing for chips E1.gif

I'm sorry to be the one to say this, but everybody should just go the gym if they want to lose weight. I don't see why everyone is depending on a video game to lose wieght. If you're too afraid to do it alone then get a friend to go with you.

I just thought I'd say this. And after working out and such you will much, much healthier.

a good idea to work on the upper body is attach some 5-10 pound weights to you arms or shoulders and maybe 5 pounds to your legs and go have fun.

Um, if DDR doesn't involve any back movements at all really, how could DDR be the reason? blink.gif
