Today, I decided to try doubling up and using WASD with the left hand and the arrows with the right hand. After about 15-20 mins of working my way up, I passed Blur for the first time ever. Since then, I have gotten 3 C's on 1x song speed, and could get a consistent C or B on .9x . I could also get a decent grade on Quasar up to 1.3x song speed.

What I'm asking here is just a general discussion on use of the WASD. Does anyone use it? Would anyone count it credible if I start consistently getting C's on Blur 1x song speed?

That's called using a double setup for singles. Setup's like that are usually looked down upon. They are great for getting used to the song speeds/notes for really fast/hard songs like blur.

Try it a couple more times on the double setup, then go back to using either the arrows or WASD. See how much further into the song you can get. (note: passing blur on a single setup will take a while, believe me)

i use the regular arrows for normal songs, but for triple/quad jumps, i use 1235 on the 10-key pad. i used both to pass jackhammer madness on 1.3x speedwith a D

I use zx./ as my keys, works out really good in the long run, but jackhammers are harder >.<

Using WASD and the arrows, is a double setup and makes everything a lot easier...stick with arrows or try xz./ to not be 'cheating'.

It's like that for everyone, but he is using both setups (wasd and arrows) at the same time.

i play with WASD and PL;'... and it's not cheating its more like playing with your feet.. if u do it right... i only play with one finger on each hand (except for on really hard songs) and i dont think its cheating or taking the easier road at all
