What if I was an Olympic sport.

Doubtful. It's so dependant on technology and such, I doubt they'll ever consider it.

it would be cool, no doubt, since in my opinion the olympics mean almost nil anymore. you can argue the sanctity of the olympics all you want, but its just become a big marketing gimmick.

</anti commercial rant>

but it will never happen. disgust.gif

It's ok, you'll get over that feeling in a year or two.

Well maybe if you didn't think that DDR is some sort of god or something, you would not have been bothered by it.

Anyways, this has been brought up. No it would not be cool.

The End.

It's just that everyone goes through the OMG DDR!!!! stage when they start out. After a year or two, that feeling fades and you move on... usually.

I'm going to have to say, no, it wouldn't be cool. Imagine a bunch of guys in leotards with stars and stripes on them, getting out there and doing DDR. It would suck. A national DDR league would suck too. In other words, I like DDR the way it is: underground (more or less).

I don't think it would work at all. There's a limit on everything on DDR, unlike all the olympic sports. Once you hit that limit, you're stuck. Once -everyone- hits that limit (which would happen after a few years with DDR being in the olympics), it's no longer competitive, and is thus no longer a sport.
