Some people over at the Flux forums have actually put cardboard inserts in their corner panels so that they're an eighth of an inch higher than the arrows. That way, they can feel the height difference and know where they are.

Hmmmm. Wouldn't putting cardboard under the plexiglass bend the arrows or something? It seems like it can't be good to manually raise the corners like that.

BTW...I still haven't ordered my CF yet, but I'm going to as soon as I have the cash saved up. Christmas time coming makes it hard.

No, it doesn't really if it is a flat piece of cardboard.

You can modify the control box so that it could hook up to both the XBox and Ps2 or get an adapter.

I tried playing in socks when I first got my Flux, but my feet started to hurt after a few sessions. Aside from induced pain, playing in socks tends to be tricky as the surface of the Flux, when new, is very slick, so socks tend to go sliding all over the place unless you have good thigh muscles.

Has anyone had any noise issues w/ a CF regarding an upstairs neighbor? I live on the ground floor which is nice for DDR but am afraid the clak-clak-clak of stepping on a CF would reverberate up even more sharply than the music from my sound system.

Is this just being paranoid? Thanks for any input!

I don't think your upstairs neighbor has anything to worry about. It's the vibrations carried through the floor that really upset the neighbors (and the bass from DDR). I don't think the clacking is going to have the same level of penetration/annoyance.

If you need to test it, however, grab a spoon and hit your kitchen counter about 2000 times in a row. If the neighbor complains, you'll have a problem. If they don't, you're good to go! E1.gif

What's the difference between the RO and the CF pad's besides durability?

The CF is completely flat whilst the RO is not.

The sensitivity better as HELL not be the same as a pad that cost 200 dollars less, if it is better on the RO, go on CF strike and no one buy one until they are equal prices, no reason to get the CF if they are the same.

$200 less? An RO hard pad is $200. A CF is $300. (Both prices are before shipping.) So that's only $100 difference.

If you're talking about the price difference between a soft pad (that would last, what, 6 months?) and a hard pad (CFs have been known to go upwards of 2 years), then that's a bit of an unfair comparison.

i am a proud owner of 2 cf platforms and they still work just as good as they did as the day they arived a year and a half ago.
_____________________________________________________________

has anyone had trouble hooking 2 cf's into a ps1? when I hook in 2 cf's to a ps1 all the buttons autofire when pressed playing any ddr ps1 game in a ps1. the weired thing is, is that it only happens when two of them are pluged in, when 1 cf is plugged in all the butons register normal. I have tried 3 different ps1's and had the same results on all occasions. I have even tried different control boxes from other cf's. has anyone else had this problem and fixed it, any information would be very much enjoyed.
THANX

I would reply that the six month warranty and the fact that several CFs have already been shown to last a year and a half or even longer in prime condition is worth an extra $100.
