I have never played Pop'n.
My desktop arcade ASC, and Pop'n 10 should be here next week.
I hope I like it..... |

You bet. It works perfectly fine for me.
I've heard it has problems with HDLoader though, so don't expect it to run from the hard drive.

If a few of the darn things would make it out of Japan there are those of us that WOULD buy one.
The only one I have come across for sale stateside was a version one and I felt the price was too high. I have talked to channel beat about trading in my Dance Freaks, but if that doesn't pan out I will still only be daydreaming about making a PopN Bemani #7 in my arcade...

I couldn't find anything but the brief mention on this page, so asking...
Anyone have any luck getting pop'n 10 to work with HDLoader? I couldn't get it to boot, no matter what combination of compatibility modes were enabled. =/ This would be the first PS2 Bemani to not work with HDLoader at all... _________________

Bemanistyle.com has some excelent instructions for making the proper IIDX ASC. Its 5.75" (14.7 cm to be exact).
Random (Co-Owner of RanSai) is nice about helping out a little bit with controllers. _________________

You meant "proper pop'n ASC", right? ^^;
There's actually a bit of variance on the measurements. 5.75" is what I came up with when I took a ruler to my own Konami ASC, but people have reportedly came up with 5.5" when measuring a few of the actual arcade models. (There's some variance between different designs of cabs, too.) I also didn't take a vertical spacing measurement - that distance is only a center-to-center measurement horizontally. _________________

As I understand it, 5.5" is for the first edition machines.

I'm getting an X-Port for Xmas (mostly because I don't have to go through the dumb "pray to the stars" thing) and I have found a 100% gamesave for Pop'n 10 on Gamefaqs. Good. Trouble is, I can't find a save for pop'n 8 which I already own.
Does anyone know where one is/have one? Preferable 100% unlocked too. |

Sup thread.
Can anyone explain to me why I can pass Absolute on Hyper (31) but still can't pass most Hyper 29s?
Also, any chance of the eAmuse cards being worth anything as collector's items some day? I can't see me needing them ^_^;;
