|

Well I'm starting to get into DDR and I was wondering if the wireless pads are worth the money. Is the performance just as good as a wired pad would be? And are they as durable? I'm going to be using it with a SmartJoy Plus due to me using Stepmania on a Mac. Thanks.

I think the only reason why they create wireless dance pads is to increase the cost. I play DDR at a console gathering regularly, and despite all the commotion and the number of people who attend; the wire has never been a problem. I'd say just stick with a wired dance pad. |

Yeah your probably right. I'll just stick with a good quality soft wired pad. I think they sell redoctane pads at my local Best Buy. But on a side note would you recommend any particular soft pads for beginners? Thanks.

The wireless pads are complete crap and break easily. I reccomend you not to buy one at all.
I reccomend Ignition pads, both BX or RO, or just the Konami Official Pad that's bundled with Max2/Extreme for Ps2 and I believe Ultramix2 for Xbox. _________________

i wouldnt reccomend a wireless for stepmania. i've been trying to get mine to work w/ it for a week, but to no avail. just go with a wired one. wireless pads arent too bad though, i had mine for a good six months before the left arrow stopped working. at least i found out what a soft pad looks like on the inside. _________________

Haha thanks for all the help guys. However on a side note, this won't mean much to many of you but to me it does, I just A'ed Rythem and Police on Light at 2x with 270 Combos, though it was with the keypad....now if i could just do that with a real pad.
