I just really gotta know if I'm the only one or not.

I just got back from playing the new 10 difficulty mad blast... that was the most puzzling minute and a half of my life.

Yes, I played it once, I don't quite understand.

Maybe it's just me, but the 8 difficulty version from the song pack seems harder, definently without a doubt harder.

The new one has 'slightly' more steps, but it's mostly just a bunch of very simple stream patterns, although the very end of the song is harder than the original, yeah, the last 8 seconds or so.

But the first one had soooo much more galloping and chaos nonsense in it, I love the original steps, I know I'm the only one, but I love it cause it's challenging, and only an 8!

So I saw that it's now a 10, I got really excited, and... it's awful, it's just plain awful. I know people complained about that song pack and how terrible all the steps were, but I loved it. It was fun and challenging to me. These new 10 steps are just seem way too easy when you compare it to the 8. That 8 actually took me multiple multiple multiple tries, it was such a pain. The 10 was... select, play, pass, done.

Although, maybe I read it wrong, but I coulda' swore I read somewhere that it was a 10 now. Is it really a 10?

Comments?

It was more of a discussion type thread than a question asking thread, just one small question at the end there.
Plus, I'm really not reading through 26 pages of stuff when the question really wasn't the base of the thread.

But thanks for putting it nicely, I was expecting far worse.

Mad Blast would seem like a crazy song to play in DDR. It's very crazy as a doubles Dance Maniax song.

I think what they do is Naoki, DJ Taka, Mr. T, and the rest of the bemani crew play rock, paper, siszors. Whoever wins get to assign the foot rating to the new song. Sometimes, when a mix changes, a veto can occur. For example, one year they changed Paranoia Clean Mix to a 9 because Naoki felt in a crazy mood that day. They do the same thing with beatmania and pop'n music songs also. I know this sounds crazy but I think it's pretty obvious that this is going on. Please reply over thanks!! riiight.gif
