|
|
About 2 weeks ago, I bruised my rib while playing football. I couldn't do DDR for a few days, but about 4 days later, I was able to play DDR again without pain.I continued doing DDR daily after that day. Now, last night, I was wrestling with my cousin's husband and felt a surge of pain in the area where I bruised my rib when I was trying to push him back. It then felt like the first day I bruised my rib. It hurt whenever I did anything involving the left side of my upper body.I'm not sure if I can do DDR right now (I'm going to the arcade later on to see), but presuming I can, should I still do it, or should I stop? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

Did you really think we were going to tell you that you should keep playing?
I've bruised ribs before and it hurts like hell. Go to your doctor. |

I'd have to say that if you want to play any DDR, go home, pull up a chair, plug in a normal controller, and just move your feet with your thumbs. That's how I got through spraining my ankle. But I would recommend against actual playing for a few weeks. You can take the wait. _________________

My brother stomped on my rib and fractured it, i had trouble breathing for about 30 seconds. I was in pain when i would pick up my 45lb back-pack. However, when i went to play ddr, as song as i didnt twist or turn *mean on csfil:spm i had to double step* i would be fine. Use your own judgement, but know your limitations. |

You should be fine unless you go into the arcade and use the bar. If you do, and you use the bar, be careful not to put too much pressure on the side of your body that has the injury. It could seriously worsen it more. But if you're at home, just try not to fall down, I guess... _________________

well how is it injured? if its broken of course not but if its just a b&b mark go ahead and play i guess-i dont recomend playing with your hands, you could go blind and not be able to see the arrows when you go to back to playing with your feet _________________

Playing with your hands is worse than you feet with a broken rib. |

a) you shoudn't play DDR or involve in any physical demanding activity while injured
b) this mostly belongs in Gameplay
