My only question is:
Is the Topway Drummania controller compatible with the EMS USB converter?

If anyone knows, please reply ASAP as I may miss out on my only chance to buy it... biggrin.gif

Drum Mania

Drum Mania Controller - pictured is the third party controller. the official konami controller has the same responsiveness, design, and colors. bad bass drum pedal, and the sound of sticks smacking plastic when you play.

now, any electronic drumset with midi-output should work with drum mania. you need a midi-usb converter. i suggest the..

Yamaha DD-50 - get this if you're interested in playing the drums outside of the game. you can play it standalone as well. comes with two pedals.

Ok, this is rather urgent I think.
It seems I have a chance to buy a DD-50 at a reasonable price, but before I want to be sure it will work with drummania. So, has anyone tried to connect it to a ps2 with that midi-usb converter thing, and does it really work? And, well, how much does that converter cost anyway?
I'm also wondering if any pc simulator accepts midi input.... I think DTXMania does, but I'm not sure.
Anyway, any feedback or help will be appreciated!
Thank you.

YES!!! DTXMania accepts MIDI input!

I have a Hart Dynamics Prodigy set with a MIDIKiti drum controller hooked up to the game port of a SB Live with a MIDI->Gameport cable. It's sooooo wonderful.

Ok, thank you. Since I already have a PC midi interface, I'm quite tempted by the purchase. Anyway, I still wonder if the drum can be connected to a ps2 as well, and be used with konami drummania titles. I have them all, and it would be a big waste not being able to take advantage of the drum with them.....

I'm looking for a guide, ANYWHERE, that can show how to make a home-made Pop'N Music controller. I saw a link, in this thread, but it was quite a while ago and the link is dead. Anyone hook me up?

Yeah i just picked up the IIdx controller the other day too!! found it for a decent price brand new...anyways about BMIII. From searching around and checking out many arcades i cannot find this game anywhere! IIdx is far more popular (along with popn and dm/gf) and now IIDX RED just came out. I think if konami was to ever release BMIII for the home we would be able to use the IIDX controllers for it by plugging in the pedal from drummania. I doubt that will happen considering IIDX's popularity, and even then they do not release IIDX games in any significant quantity...8th either never came or is sold out everywhere i go...

I have a DD-50 and a midi-usb adaptor, and I'm trying to hook it up to the PS2 (to Gitadora, if it matters). The game does not make any sign that the DD-50 is plugged into it, but a light on the midi-usb adaptor does turn on. Is there something else I need to do?

EDIT: Disregard this post. I found my problem

I hope I'm not asking a question that has already been answered but...

I remember a while ago seeing a thing on how to build your own popn controller. I don't remember where I found it. Can someone help me out? Thanks.

EDIT: Holy crap I'm an idiot! If I just looked like 4 posts above me, I would have seen a post almost exactly like mine. I'm a sad, sad little man...

Would you mind sharing what the problem/solution was? My son has taken a liking to the DM side of GF4/DM3 and GF3/DM2 and I might get him a DD-50 or DD-55 for his upcoming birthday...

That DJ Station Pro is awesome. Does anyone know of an IIDX pad that looks like that one?

And another question, if this thread isn't dead E10.gif What the frick is up with RO's IIDX pad? Seriously, you think they'd make one that resembled the arcade game somewhat. The only alternative is Ebay or an import shop =\

But anyway, is it possible to just buy their IIDX pad and mod it into a rectangle shell like the official IIDX con? And then mod the buttons to rectangles?

I'd like to try a mod on my Topway GF guitar to make the pick like the one in the arcade. Since I have never played one in the arcade E2.gif could someone describe what it is like, or maybe post a replacement part number? I would greatly appreciate some input.

Jeff

Does anyone happen to know of a company or individual who creates (custom?) DDR controllers for people with limited mobility? Or perhaps some trick for combining a dance pad with a handheld controller? I have a special needs child who absolutely LOVES DDR, but there are certain moves that are impossible for him to do with his feet, and he is beginning to get a little disheartened. The game (currently Ultramix 2) has had *amazing* effects on his motor skills, so I'd hate to see him stop playing something that he enjoys and gets so much benefit from. I've always told him "where there's a will, there's a way..." I'd like to make that ring true.
