Question about modding Ignition type pads

Well, after posting in the appropriate threads but not really getting much satisfactory responses I decided to risk locking by starting my own thread Most of the mods on the soft pad thread's first post are missing/broken, and to me look like they pertain to flat non-ignition pads.

Basically, I just bought a Level Six Ignition pad and I'm looking to maintain its durability. Right now, a mod that offers responsiveness (which to me seems fine right now) takes a backseat to one that provides durability--although if one exists that does both, that would be swell too.

Along with this, I have a question about the chairmat mod...as everyone's described it, it just involved placing a piece of measured/cut carpet plastic chairmat inside of ignition pads on top of the foam, spikes facing down. What exactly does this do? I can't picture the effect of it.

So yeah...any mods that will maintain the durability of my new Level Six will be greatly considered and appreciated

Just ask again in the appropriate thread. Don't venture out on your own with a new thread - it only makes things worse.
