I found a machine the other day that had taken over a 9th style's spot in Segaworld here on Oki. er, I'm a total n00b at this thread so anyone got any info? The machine wasn't on.

Are those dates in the title Arcade testing or something?

IIDX Red is amazing, as i am a fan of Super Eurobeat, i'm really glad that they got some songs from the SEB 141-149 series, i'm extremely surprised seeing Night Flight to Tokyo and Not for Sale!

Damn!! Genocide is hard on 7key!! I was sampling the entire notes from that song and drained my 90% meter.

The song is an 8+ named Genocide by dj Killer. I'd expect it to be pretty hard.

I sampled AA and gigadelic.

I think AA is basically A+No.13+Kakumei!! Looks like another already.

Gigadelic has some screwed up ending with that damn turntable and weird notes.

Phew. I drove 180 miles (about 3 hours) from Erie, PA to Monaca, PA (outside Pittsburgh) to get some time on a Beatmania III (7th append whatevertheheckitis.)

Too bad it wasn't a IIDX, but man, the graphics are awesome/really wierd on beatmania! The backgrounds make the stuff in DDR look incredibly sane by comparison.

And, of course, Genom Screams (7 stars).

Yeah Beatmania's visuals are pretty weird, but I like them. Although, I prefer IIDX's visuals. =P

I have, though I am a complete idiot when it comes to IIDX, and I haven't played 8th for very long, so I can't really give an accurate review on how good or bad it is. Judging by the default song list, I like a lot of what I see, but a lot of what I like are older songs and repeats from styles that I don't own. As far as new songs go, I wasn't wowed like I was when I played 7th CS for the first time.
