Think i found the problem. Go to Real Time DDR Repair for more biggrin.gif

"Well, thanks Cutriss for directing my attention to the long, damn, START HERE thread with absolutely NO information in aide of my pad problem. But hell, 5 hours of reading 89 pages of threads...could be worse disturb.gif

I did see some posts of people with simmilar problems, but there were no solid suggestions, let alone answers to the everlastin problem of All buttons not responding!

The LED's light up properly and in sequence with the correct arrows being pressed. Also, because the LEDs are lighting up, it means that it's at least getting power from the PS2, so there's some communication there.

I'm highly doubting the "replacing the end by splicing wires" techniques as there is nothing in the ends except, well, the wires {which my mats have never experienced wire strain from being stretched out and dragging the PS2 off the shelf...like my friend did ^^:: }.

I think an official "soft pad repair" thread would be a nice touch instead of sending the 'n00b' to the forums straight to that 89 page known as "ALL softpad discussion goes HERE" and let them waddle through all the post a bout a)What's a chair mat mod? b)Which pad is best/should I buy? and c)I found these at store X, is it legit?/are they a good seller?
If I wanted a Wal-Mart thread (you know, a bit of everything, but impossible to find what you want), I would have just posted on the DDR Chit-Chat."

All that means is that you're getting power from the PS2. There may be no communication at all seing as the pad's lights only have to communicate with the buttons. I've had controllers flat-out fry before, and there's not much you can do to fix 'em.

Hmm... I don't know if there really is a place for this kind of question. IMO the existing one thread will do because most pad problems mean... well... Get a new pad.

Hmmmmm, well, in theory, everything is fixable...except Celine Dion's songs. I guess it's time to break out the ol' Exacto Knife and see what we got riiight.gif

If I can get it even half assed working, i'ma glue that sucker to a plank and let ya'll know how it fares... if not, then what is exactly the proper procedure for a DDR pad burial?

I'm locking the thread because it says to in the subject. If it was sarcasm, oh, well.

Please drop the attitude and open your eyes.

The "START HERE" thread is not even a full page long. It's a freaking table of contents. Your contempt is misguided and misplaced.
