I think they should bring back Battle, Dance Magic, and Solo.
Also, you should be able to use edits in nonstop, continue making 20 song nonstops instead of 4's, and assign difficulties to your edits.
Wow, almost all those ideas are from KONAMIX. Weird.

I would like to see a perfect mode. You can only get perfects or you fail. (in other words it's basically a harder oni/challenge mode).
Might be a little too hard.... |

Make it a free bottle of Gatorade X-Factor and I'm in!!!!!!! Also I think a cool mod would be, well for me to start getting good at DDR I focused on my feet, on the sound of my feet hitting the pad. Sounds like druming. When you PA you feet sound like a whole other drum track. So a cool mod would be where each arrow would make a drum sound, like the could be a kick, the could be a snare, the could be a clap, and the could be a tom. Then to make things crazier, you could make a jump be a crash and a jump be a synth hit. The sounds would only sound if you get a perfect or a great, so you could still move around the pads to get ready for a complex set of steps. This way it would be like your're remixing the song just by playing it!!! You will also have to FC a song or you won't hear all there is to hear. Then in options you could assign you the drum sounds to the arrows and jumps. You could choose from all kinds of kicks, bass, snares, toms, high hats, congas, timbales, synth hits, the list could go on and on. Along with edit mode, the possibilities would be endless. Imagine that.

I think the first step, though is to make better steps rhythmically. I think that improvement could definitely be made on the rhytm of steps. Like, the heavy steps to So Deep. They suck. They are the same thing over and over again, and they are just stepping to the melody. The steps should be, like you said, a whole other drum track, so they shouldn't just reiterate something else that is going on in the music, they should add a whole other layer of rhythm that plays against the rest. I made some edit steps for So Deep recently and they are cool.  But enough bragging about myself, does anyone else agree that it would be cool to have steps that work better with the music rhythmically? The way I see it, DDR is closer to being a percussion instrument than dancing.

I could see something that..... Like when you FC a song, the higher you get your combo, the more intense the background visuals get, when you miss steps the visuals decrease. Well, I don't think the steps to So Deep Heavy suck, but anyway. You do have a point, most steps do just follow the melody, to really get a remix feeling, the steps should break off on their own rhythm, that way when you play the song you go off on your own rhythmatic journey, adding your own drum track to the song rather than following someone else's. Still, as I said, thats what edit mode is for. Nice point on DDR being a percussion instrument tho, it really is druming with you feet.

They should change it to "Stomp Stomp Revolution". Like, if you go say to someone "I'm gonna go dance," when you're talking about DDR, they are like "that's not real dancing, man" which is true, and you get ridiculed for it. Now, if it was like "I'm gonna go stomp," now that would sound way better.

Why stop there? Why not add on a BeatMaina IIDX, Pop N' Music, Drummaina, and a Keyboard Maina controllers as well. Each would have its own screen, but you all would play the same song together. That way you would have the dancer, the guitarist, the DJ, a rhythmic drummer, a traditional drummer, and a pianist, respectively. You all would jam!!! You could call it BBR - Big Band Revolution  . Or maybe not. But really tho, Konami are you listening? This is a cool idea and would definitely be a sight to behold. Just imagine if everyone AAA their part. God that be phat. I'd crap myself in all the heavenly glory!!!
