I think that there should be a sight reading tourney for DDR. this is when you play a song for the first time ever. there is a totally different skill in seeing songs for the first time... and doing them by practicing for 10 hours on the same song. people are always complaining about 10 footers and blah blah blah. NOONE can possibly do a 10 footer on the first time they see it. this is a good skill to aquire... and practicing the same song over and over wont help like it does for 10 footers n stuff. tournaments for this can be made by someone on edit mode... idno if edit mode can be uploaded onto a ddr machine, but it prolly can. i think this would be cool to have this idea done... anyone else think this is a good idea??? bad idea??? post ur stuff!
this would revolutionize the revolution! |

I think it's a brill idea. I've had to play songs that I've never done before, and played against people vice-versa. It's interesting to see how they do. Haha. _________________

I passed Max 300 the first time I played it. Sakura too. Wow, there are a lot more posts about that quote than on the basic idea of the topic. That seems like fun. I can read new things pretty good, but I still can't pass bag for some reason. |

People DO play on shuffle. Improving your sight reading skills is not uncommon. _________________

i think its a great idea. it would be a great way to generate new interest in competition. i'm sure there are lots of people like me who are sick of losing tournaments to guys who whore max300 to death and can fc it every time but fail on eight footers they haven't memorized. |

If there was a sight-reading tournament, I couldn't enter. I've played (though not neccessarily passed) every single official song on heavy at least once. I'm sure I'm not the only one. _________________

Pantera beat me to it! I think it's a good idea if the edit mode original steps can be done, but I've played every song there is (on DDR anyway), so unless I lied and said it was my first time I would have an unfair advantage. |
